I can't say enough about how great the NOC experience was. We did the train ride from Bryson City to the NOC center & then whitewatered for the rest of the day. What an amazing time! The river guide we had was absolutely wonderful & I think he knew we were a group that he could push some limits because we were constantly soaked! LOL. We even got to watch the newer SUP folks try to figure out the river lines after we'd completed our trip. Great venue & I'd strongly advise checking it out!

We headed to NC in early June to celebrate my 40th birthday with three other couples. The Nolichucky was recommended to us by a local friend of ours. This was by far, my husband and mine's best rafting experience. We have been about a half dozen times. Jordan was the first guide that we met and she gave the presentation to our group. She was fun and out going. She was knowledgeable as well. Once we set out rafting, Alex was our guide. He was awesome. We had the best time. He too was friendly and outgoing. We did the full day experience with lunch. Everything. We will recommend this rafting company to all of our friends. We had an awesome day on the Nolichucky.

This is a wonderful place to go rafting. our guide Will was awesome! full of fun and interesting facts about the area as well as knowledgeable about the river. Looking forward to taking another trip minus the rainy day.

Fabulous day on the water. Great guides, consistent rapids & a good lunch on the water. Well worth the trip. Our guide, Cory, was great. Very informative, helpful & help our group interested the whole time. We'll certainly go back.

I recently went on a road trip to Florida, and decided to do some adventure attractions on the way down. The Nolichucky gorge rafting excursion was by far my favorite. We were actually in our own duckies while another group was in a raft. Our fearless leader Jordan was amazing, she not only equipped us with consistent instruction but included information about the gorge itself, and historical sites along the way. It was safe but still gave me the exhilaration that should come from any adventure. Her partners in this excursion Jeubel who was in another raft, and Curtis the man who drove us to the site, were also awesome. They were fun and kept things running smoothly, and Curtis took some real good shots that they GAVE you on a cd later. I would recommend this over USA raft, which their office was next door, only because of their special touches on customer service, and genuine interest on whether their consumer is getting what they want out of the experience.

(June 19th) This was the best white water rafting trip we have ever taken! I had my 16 year old son and my best friend on the trip. The natural river scenery was breath taking and our guide was the best! He knew where to go on the river and guided our raft in the white water that gave us the most fun ride. NOC has the most experienced guides out there, and that made our trip so far superior over other white water rafting trips we've taken in the past. Prepare to spend at least 4 hours on the river; eat lunch before you go!

We did the white water rafting trip and Emily was our guide she was amazing!!!!! We will be back to do this again and request her!

My wife booked this day along with another couple, i didn't know what to expect, never been whitewater rafting before & neither had the other Mrs. (she was pretty nervous!). Jordan was our guide - what a fun person!! Very friendly & full of information & stories about the area (7 years' experience), she kept us entertained the whole time and, most importantly, she was cool under pressure!! I was never worried with Jordan at the helm. The river seemed to be a perfect combination of whitewater and calm areas in between. We did the "full day" trip which included a stop for a picnic lunch. Working with Jordan was our photographer Elizabeth - there was some very funny expressions she caught on camera!! The CD with all the pictures was well worth the extra money. The scenery was beautiful as the Nolichucky runs through some very steep mountains, we couldn't have been more pleased, i highly recommend this tour group, they are excellent!!

We have been on several rafting trips in the past with other outfitters but this time we decided to try NOC and the Nolichucky. We had two adults and three eighteen year olds. Our guide Jordan was awesome! She greeted us when we arrived and really was great the whole trip even though a couple of us fell out several times. She told us the history of the area and the trip was never boring. Nice river with some great rapids. Jordan even told us about a local place to eat the Hawg and Dawg and when we showed up, she had called ahead and made us reservations. The owner, Lou, was amazing. The whole day was great and we would definitely recommend NOC and this trip to anyone. The only thing to watch is the rainfall as the water was a little low so go when there has been a lot of rain.

We live in Asheville and my boyfriend's dad came to town and wanted to check out rafting. We ended up at the Nantahala and it was the best experience we could have had! All of the staff was extremely friendly, and our guide, Will, really made the whole experience absolutely memorable! He was very knowledgable, encouraging, personable, and did a fabulous job guiding us down the river. Even though the sun only poked out for a brief moment, it was still a gorgeous trip! The hot showers back at the camp were lovely as well! I will absolutely go again with out of town guests, or maybe just run up on a day off to spend some time on the adventurous and peaceful Nolichucky!

Our organization took 3 boats down the Nolichucky and it was fantastic. We lucked out on the weather, but regardless it would still have been a great time due to the high calibre staff. This is the smallest NOC outpost I believe - and the Noli is an incredible trip, with huge variation in CFS depending on rainfall. Learned a ton about the history of the region from our guide, and she expertly navigated every element. Highly recommend!

We went white water rafting and wanted some high adventure. This was just the ticket. Water was up and hit some great class IV and V rapids. Have all boys and we all managed to stay in the raft which says a lot for the skill of our guide. Lots of fun.

We had a great rafting experience with NOC on 7 Aug. We arrived at 8am to find only 3 others on the trip. We had one raft and a kayak escort with the entire river to ourselves. Curtiss our guide and Miriam our photo/escort made the trip special. I cant express how much I enjoyed this river experience. Not only is the river something to see and ride but the NOC team made is special. We had a really fun day and met great people! Kudos to Curtis and Miriam.

This was my first time white water rafting. I was a bit nervous to begin, but had an amazing time. We were immediately greeted outside by Curtis who was extremely nice and helpful. After all the other customers showed up, we were shown the instructional safety video and then geared up. We took the 40 minute scenic bus ride up the mountain. Our guide was Trey who was awesome. The trek down the river/gorge is spectacular. The whole southeast has been getting daily rain for weeks so the river was quite strong and there were a few class 4 rapids. Scary at first (I was afraid of going in the water), but exhilarating after a short while. In the middle of the trek, we stopped along the river and were provided snacks (awesome trail mix and oranges) and water. Their photographer, Kevin who kayaked alongside us, took separate pictures of all parties during this time. The trip was over way too soon. It was absolutely amazing. Every one of the employees were sure to know & address you by name. After you got out of the river, you went to their bathroom/shower/changing rooms, then you all gather back in the building to watch the picture slideshow. You can purchase individual pictures or a whole CD of all pictures from your raft plus the individual pictures taken on the break. Which we were sure to do. We also purchased the souvenir shirt. And we were sure to tip our guide! This company also offers ziplining. We plan on using them again for that, as well as for other river tours.

My husband and I wanted to take our grandsons on an adventure packed weekend and our decision to include rafting on the Nolichucky worked out perfectly! The grounds, log cabin office nad bathhouse were very clean and neat. Our very professional trip leader and amazingly awesome raft guide, Trey Moore took very good care of us. As newbe white water rafters we appreciated Trey's professionalism and attention to safety. On the river, his personality and his ability to balance between safety and fun really shone! We were entertained not only by the big bouncy waves but by the stories of how the rapids got their names. Our photos say it all...smiles all around! We'll be back for sure.
