herb parsons lake

This is a very old state of TN run lake. Small so you can canoe or use a trolling motor, and not be bothered by skiers or fast base boats if you want to fish. You do have to purchase a daily permit to fish or be on the water as well as have a state fishing license (daily or yearly). They also have a nice bicycling walking trail that is kept clear year round. Just be careful of poison ivy and snakes in the warmer months.

This is a nice park to get your outdoors on. They have boating, fishing and hiking/biking. They have an archery range there as well. The trails and park are kept up well. The trail around the lake is 7 miles.
