The Kids Adventure Cruise is built just for that: kids!FOR ADULTS who want a quieter experience, please join our Sunset Cruise or Nature Cruise. The SUNSET Cruise is designed to be a relaxing, romantic 2-1/4 hour cruise watching the skies and listening to music. It is perfect for "date night," birthdays, anniversaries, and reunions. While we do not prohibit children from coming on the Sunset Cruise, advise against it because they may get fidgety. The NATURE Cruise may have a mixture of adults and children OR be all adults. We have MANY adult and senior adult groups who reserve most or all of the seats on a cruise for their group. Also, during the school year (August-May), our weekday Nature Cruises are frequently all adult passengers.

(For other readers, this is only one of SEVEN cruises we offer, and the only cruise that is this activity-centered.)Now that the Kids Adventure Cruise is available only as a PRIVATE cruise, it's even better. Everyone on board knows each other, it's a compatible group, and the children are great about sharing the kayaks and other toys. The adults also know each other and have a great time playing with the children and supervising them while in the water. You did a great job of describing all the fun that happens.Anytime you want a calmer, adult experience, join our Sunset Cruise. Or to keep the focus on wild birds, instead of wild kids, bring the family on a Nature Cruise or Fall Foliage Cruise. And if the children are up to a 3-hour focus on the scenery, the Waterfront Homes & Wildlife Cruise is very picturesque. (And your own picnic is welcome on any cruise).THANK YOU for your review. The Nature Cruise is a good fit for all ages, with the emphasis on watching the wild birds (rather than having the kids go wild). The Sunset Cruise is designed specifically for ADULTS. Thank you for your comments. We will use them to improve our cruises. We do appreciate well-behaved children and parents who monitor their children's behavior so it doesn't bother others. Naturally, we want to know about any problems while the cruise is still happening so that we can improve your experience.Since daytime cruises do typically have families and children aboard, you might prefer a Sunset Cruise, which is geared more towards adults (and encouraged to be adults only). We hope you'll give that a try one evening. Again, thank you for letting us know about your cruise experience.

Thanks for the compliment on our prices. Everybody likes a good value for their money. We want to keep our cruises affordable, especially since we have HUNDREDS of adult and senior adult passengers. Adult groups (from churches, seniors centers, independent living and assisted living) fill dozens of our Nature Cruises. And next time you come, you might want to try a Sunset Cruise. It's romantic!

Thanks for the compliments. We're really glad you and your son enjoyed the cruise and the local scenery. We have yet to have a cruise where we do NOT see a Great Blue Heron. It all depends on the time of year. In summer and fall, after the nesting season, we've seen over 20 Herons on a single cruise! That's happened several times.While the balloons and toys aren't appropriate on every cruise, when the atmosphere permits, we'll pull them out. Always good to have the kids happy.Hope you come back soon.

What a great review! We're glad you had the wonderful experience of making friends while aboard the boat. That's not the first time that has happened! It is a privilege to provide a platform that allows easy socializing, whether the folks across the aisle begin as strangers or as friends.We'll continue to do our best to show you the best local scenery. Cheatham County is a great place to be!Oh - and you're right about Riverview Restaurant. About 90% of our customers eat there, before or after a cruise, and it's even better since being rebuilt and reopening in 2011.Y'all come back soon!

Thanks for the compliments! We're happy to provide a cruise that keeps three generations happy, all at the same time!Just so you know, we've pulled back on the balloons as sometimes they disturbed other passengers. But we've got another activity that keeps the children engaged, and that's giving each child the chance (given safe conditions) to drive the boat for a few minutes. Closely supervised by the Captain, of course! All the children on board eagerly await their turn... and they don't get a turn unless they are on their best behavior. Because this activity depends on river and weather conditions, we can't promise it will happen, so let's keep it our little secret. Hope to see you again soon!

Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You did a terrific job of describing the experience many of our customers have had. Like you, they come for the first time as a couple or in a small group, and have such a good time that they then recommend the cruise for a large church group or family party.Really glad you enjoyed the Sunset Cruise as a couple. You described it well: a relaxing time with romantic music. And glad you liked the futon couch!Thanks for pointing out how casual our cruises are, and how we can adapt to the weather. I'll drive the boat slower on cool days (to keep the breezes down) and a bit faster on hot days (to create MORE of a breeze). We've also got blankets to fight the chill, and chilled bottled water to fight the heat. We're glad your Church Singles Group had fun and we're here anytime you want to come back!

My mom and I had a great relaxing afternoon on the Cumberland River/Cheatham Lake. They had an audio guide for part of the cruise, nice relaxing music for other parts of the cruise, fun toys to keep the kiddos entertained and of course the scenery was beautiful! The fall colors are really vivid right now so hurry up and book a ride today! :DP.S. They also have light snacks to keep your belly happy too!
