I can't believe there's only one review of this beautiful spot! We visited just before Christmas 2013 and I didn't think to review it at the time. We stayed across the street at the Villas at Southgate so passed by and noticed the playground. We decided to take my 2 and 4 year olds to play and discovered that it was a beautiful nature walk to enjoy all bundled up. They had a great time swinging and playing on the play structure. The pond was partially frozen so coming from SoCal this was quite a sight for the boys. Maybe because there was leftover snow on the ground and it was brisk there was nobody else there but we truly enjoyed it and look forward to going back this week.

Peaceful spot just off the Santa Clara river trail. Pond with ducks and swans. You can feed the ducks from the deck area or near the waters edge. Short trails will take you to benches or the amphitheater where you can enjoy the solitude and watch for the many small birds in the tress and bushes. It appears they have activities for families at the Nature Center often...I'm sure less peaceful during those activities.
