We had 1 beginner mountain biker and 1 experienced and Monte showed us a few trails that were fun for experienced and beginner riders. He met us at the bike shop the night before to pick up our bikes and make sure they were the correct size, picked us up from our hotel the next day with the bikes and took us to the trails. Great guy and guide! Highly recommend.

Thanks again for a great ride on Little Creek Mesa, and the shuttle down the Jem Trail. For those planning a MTB trip to Southwest Utah, especially on the slickrock mesa's, I found that the "trails" aren't like the trails most of us are used to. You're riding on rolling bedrock with no clear path. There are cairns (stacks of rocks), that help identify the route, but they're not always readily visible. Best suggestion is to hire a guide and just enjoy the ride, not how to find your way back to the car. If you haven't ridden Slick Rock yet, it's a real workout and a must do. I can't say enough good things about riding with Monte. Not only is he an excellent guide, but a gentleman, and a terrific source of local info. I would also gladly recommend Utah Mountain Biking Adventures. Thanks, Ray, San Diego.

We called Monte to plan a trip to fit our abilities. He picked a couple of trails on Gooseberry Mesa and the JEM trail that were perfect for us. Gooseberry was varied terrain, with beautiful vistas and Monte had lots of information on the area. The gem trail was a lot of fun and mostly downhill. Monte was a great guide and gave us a fun day biking. We'd do it again.

My son and I wanted to make the most of our four days in the Hurricane area. So we called Monte to join us for the first day. It was a good decision. He picked us up and knew exactly the best areas to ride. We were able to focus on trails that suited us and were the most fun while avoiding a lot of down time. My son very much appreciated the shuttle on the JEM trail after some hard riding on Gooseberry Mesa. After the first day we were set. The Hurricane area offers so many unique and wonderful riding experiences that you want to make the most of your time there - so give Monte a call. I highly recommend Utah Mountain Biking Adventures.

Monte:Thank for a great time, looking back I can't believe I did it. A must bucket list item for any rider.Beautiful day for being in this majestic land. For anyone thinking about it, go for it, you'll have a great time. Had I viewed the clips on line first i may not have but that would have been a big mistake. Monte, you made the ride fun and your patience with riders varrious abilities is commendable. Be prepared for the elevation change, you will need a bit of time to acclimatize.Thinking I may return in the near future.......Thx again Mauro

I called Monte literally the night before I wanted to ride-and he made it possible! The next morning he picked me up at the hotel, drove me to Zion bikes for a rental and then took me on the trail. He was a good guide catering to my needs and abilities. It was great fun riding with him, and learning about the area.

Was in Hurricane for 3 days before heading to Moab. Rode with Monte all 3 days. Had a great time. Got to Shuttle the JEM trail twice which is always a great way to finish off the day. Rode Gooseberry and Little Mesa. Both great places to ride. BearPoppy Claw or BearClaw Poppy I mix it up was also fun. Highly recommend, on time, knows the area and bikes although he needs the newer Intense Tracer :) . Hope to ride out there again soon.

I was looking for a good day of mountain biking around Zion and Monte and Utah Mountain Biking Adventures hooked me up! He recommended a bike shop (Over The Edge) and found me a guide. By the time I got to OTE, Morgan had the bike loaded in his truck and we were ready to go. Morgan took me around Gooseberry Mesa, we stopped for lunch and then shuttled the JEM trail. It was an awesome day of riding, Morgan new the trails like the back of his hand and found the ones that would be the best for my ability. He also warned me about any tricky section that's coming up. If I'm back in the area I'd definitely ride with them again.

I had a great time mountain biking in Southern Utah with Bonnie of Utah Mountain Biking Adventures. It was my first time biking there and my guide, Bonnie, was able to take me on trails that I would not have found otherwise and were suited to my expertise. They focus on finding out what kind of rider you are and what type of trails you would be interested in and then recommend some choices. I highly recommend them. My wife and I were in Utah and looking to spend a day riding with people who knew the trails, were able to provide transportation as well as the appropriate level of difficulty for each of us. Monte picked us up along with our bikes from Zion Cycles in Springdale, then drove us to the trail and home at the end of the day. A good mix of slickrock and singletrack and some really great trails with a view on top of Gooseberry Mesa. The tour options are 100% customized and Monte is determined to make sure you have the best riding experience possible. If you're looking for a very competent rider with the ability to show you some of the best trails in the area for a fair price, I would absolutely recommend calling Monte.

Monte from Utah Mountain Biking Adventures is really an amazing guy and an asset to the Utah biking community. One of my goals when visiting Zion Nat'l Park was to experience the back trails and get some nice vista pics via mountain bike. He was on time and helped me with getting a bike rental at the local shop and then spent a good portion of the morning gauging the type of rider and trails I would like. Not only was he knowledgeable on the trails but he was an active participant in the upkeep of the trails and bike rights in the area. My last ride of the day was around 4:30PM (that's a full day!) and he let me ride solo through a very fun trail which snaked by the top of a river but not without keeping an eye out at each of the cross streets and giving me a trail map. If I were to nit-pick at all I would say that maybe a little bit more difficulty later in the day and a better option for a lunch spot would have made it A++ but I realize that might not be feasible considering the lack of options for each in Springdale.Compared to what I found from asking around is that he was one of the more reasonably priced too. I like his policy of keeping his trips to four people or less. It definitely makes for a more social experience.Good guy and great overall experience! Highly Recommended!

Monte guided us for three days in the Zion/St. George area. He knows every trail, knows all the locals. Very personable, excellent. Look no further for a guide. This is the real deal! He will tailor to your biking skills from beginner to advanced. We had a blast on Goosberry Mesa, JEM trail, and the Bear claw poppy trail system. Monte had excellent recommendations on where to stay, where to eat, and even recommended a great guide for canyoneering. Monte is the real deal. I would highly recommend him this outfit and would gladly use their services again.

I was in Nevada for a business trip and was the only one interested in going mountain biking - something I do at home here in Ontario. Monte had no issues taking one rider for the day and it was truly a day to remember. Monte arranged for the bike from Over the Edge Sports (great people) and brought it with him when we met. The day was great and Monte was able to set an appropriate pace for my beginner to intermediate experience.I would highly recommend UMBA to others who are interested in a great day of biking!
