The 3 hour snowmobiling tour from Snowbird is highly recommended.Booked on the day without any hassles,From Kenny in the office to Wesley our tour leader the event was seamlessly organised, including scenic gondola and chairlift rides.Provided great gear: helmet, boots and jacket, and fantastic modern snowmobilesWe were taught well, eased into it, and once Wesley had gauged the ability of the group he tailored the pace to match. By catering for several ability levels the slower member improved dramatically over the time. Better if you are reasonably fitBrilliant scenery, great fun. Thanks guys

We went on the two hour snowmobile tour. Lots of fun. Picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel in Park City. Informative driver. Pointed out deer to us and stopped for pictures. Price was reasonable and they offered a military discount for DOD card holders. No extra charge for the helmets. The guide, Cooper, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a great tour and let us play in the meadow. Took us to a scenic overlook and willing took pictures. He even carried my big camera rig when my wife complained about it beating up her knees when I had it hanging behind me. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

We did the combination snowmobile and tubing package in January 2015. From the moment we were picked up, we were not only met with a smile but a bit of a history lesson from someone who was passionate about the area. From history to the snowfall statistics, where to get fresh milk to the second highest peak in Utah, Brenton kept us smiling and entertained. He cared. Once checked in, Chad took us on our snowmobile adventure. Up the mountain we went. On a few occasions others got stuck and Chad personally dug them out without as much as a frown. We were always safe and happy and in awe of the landscape around- lofty peaks is right. We got to open up the snowmobiles to about 45 mph in an open valley which was exhilarating. During the trip my wife even lost her phone and they found it two days later and miraculously it still worked and they sent it to us. You will have a great time, see things that are pretty inspiring and be surrounded by people who genuinely care- it's hard to say which is the best part. Thanks guys.

Went today on 2 hour tour with my wife and three kids (6, 9, 11). The weather right now is unseasonably warm for 1/28 and we were very apprehensive. The 'base camp' doesn't have much snow today, but they drove us higher to the snow. From there it was a winter wonderland. Chad was our guide and he is the best! He wanted to make sure we had the best day we ever. He even let my wife and take the snowmobiles around a big meadow while he had a snow ball fight with my kids! I highly recommend this group. Here are some tips: don't bring your own ski helmets, they need you to wear their's. They have great boots and gear. No need to bring your nice ski gear.

Snowmobile rides were one of the best parts of our week. I did not know which company to go with, but have no regrets with Lofty Peaks. They are friendly, helpful, and punctual on pickup. Our guide was very concerned about my youngest daughter, always asking if her fingers and toes were cold. Great guy. I highly recommend this experience and this company. Their trails have some great views. Some others stay in lower lying terrain and are pretty, but not such impressive views. We had the latest excursion and it was beautiful as the sun was setting. I would love to go back and would pick Lofty Peaks again.

My wife and I visited from Australia and booked for the 4 hour guided snowmobile tour on Christmas Eve. The entire experience was positive right from the initial booking process to the tour itself. We had never done snowmobiling before (it was also my wife's first ever time seeing snow) and we had an excellent guide who gave us a phenomenal time and memories that will last a lifetime. I'd highly recommend the 4 hour tour in order to experience the most. It was not rushed, we saw heaps and also enjoyed a lunch at the top of the mountain. Overall an amazing experience and we'll definitely book with Lofty Peaks again should we ever get the chance to return to Utah in the future. Thanks!

ATV's are so much fun. They are very easy to use. My daughter who had never driven one before picked up on it very easy. However, for whatever reason I was bit challenged that day. But I still had fun on the trails and going through water. Be prepared to get dirty. If they offer bandannas for purchase just buy them. You will for sure need it. Lots of fun for the family.

On October 11th Joe led us on a 2 hour Razr tour which included me, my wife and my parents who are in their 70's. He took us on several side trails that we would have never found on our own on a self guided tour and he kept the pace fast for fun but not too rough. He also stopped several places that had his favorite mountain views and took several of pictures for us. We'll definitely do it again when we're back out next year and look forward in doing a snow mobile trip with Lofty Peaks if we make it during the winter.

I can't begin to describe how awesome of an experience my wife and I had with Lofty Peaks Adventures in March of 2014. I'll briefly summarize. The only negative thing I can mention was booking the excursion. In preparation for our trip I completed the online reservation form and, thinking we were good to go, didn't think much more about it until I realized I hadn't been contacted by anyone several days later. Upon reaching out to the company I learned they hadn't taken action on the form, but informed me that due to the late season and reduced trips our desired excursion wasn't being operated. They recommended a 3 hour tour for the same morning and we agreed. All was well.In spite of a spring snow storm which slowed our drive from SLC (which we would soon be thankful for!), we made it just in time for the reservation. Much to our surprise we (my wife and I) were 2 of 3 people for the whole morning, another factor that would make this a great experience. After checking in we ascended the mountain to the sled/starting location. We set off through clearly marked trails at an exciting pace. It had snowed 10 or more inches overnight and continued to snow throughout our trip. We continued up-mountain until we reached a vast meadow highland which became our playground. We were the only folks there and had the freedom to open the machines up and explore the surrounding area. After 45 minutes or so we continued on other trails and arrived at a new place to explore, which we did happily for another half hour or so.The trip was delightful, although you'll want to consider the many variables that made it awesome as some cannot be controlled and may affect other outtings. 1) We had awesome snow before and throughout the run2) We were COMPLETELY alone on the mountain, it is possible your tour is bigger and there are non-tour folks out there (it's state cut/public trails).3) Although it was snowing, the temps were above freezing so we weren't chilled to the boneOther recommendations: Rent their boots, it's worth the $10. Wear your full ski gear, because you will get snow all over you and may have to dismount. Bring $$ to tip, because they earned it. Enjoy!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Kenny was very accommodating with our changing schedule and Jacob was the PERFECT guide. It was just my husband and I on a two hour excursion through some of the most beautiful scenery. We had an amazing time - started at the top of Snowbird and traversed through the mountains at high speed stopping for incredible photo ops, to look at moose tracks and to determine the type of riding we were interested in. Jacob took photos, videos and showed us a tremendous time - we could not have enjoyed ourselves more and this was the best snowmobiling experience yet! Thanks so much - HIGHLY recommend.

Turned out I was the only person on a 2 hour guided tour, with Shannon as my guide. They picked me up in PC, took me 30 minutes out of town, and let me loose on a 550cc 2 stroke machine. Lesson 1: steering is 2/3 upper body, and 1/3 weight transfer (move your butt). Lesson 2: Don't take your feet off the running boards. Shannon gave me a good tour, with some challenging terrain and deep snow. I got it stuck twice, and he got it free quickly, no worries. Good time, I recommend this.

We picked the perfect time to go as it had snowed for 3 days straight prior to our tour. I our guide was awesome however we spent more time digging out machines than we did actually riding. We were stuck alone on the top of the mountain for over an hour as our guide left us to create a trail ahead due to the heavy snowfall and high winds. He had gotten stuck again himself and had wait for another group to come through were he was to help dig him out before he returned to us. Not good....with our inexperience level we should never have been taken up there due to the severe weather. Our guide did indicate that he would not be taking his next group the same route. We would definitely do the tour again but will use better judgement in regards to weather conditions. Beautiful trails and scenery along with way especially with the fresh falling snow. I will say that the staff were all very friendly and very knowledgeable about their jobs and the area. Wear tall boots and wrap up!

We booked this trip on a whim and some quick Googling. Turns out, they are a great company. The process of signing up for a 3-hour trip was easy. The instruction from the guide was easy & quick, and we were on the trail in no time. We went all the way up to Mineral Basin at a great pace. The guide, Zach, stopped every so often to make sure everyone was still getting along fine, and to give everyone a few minute breather. Zach also gave us plenty of time to play around in any meadows or open fields we found. When one of the individuals and myself got stuck on the tour, Zach was polite and very helpful to get us unstuck. With how much work he & I had to do, I though for sure he'd be a bit more crabby, but he was not!The cost for a three-hour tour is very reasonable as well, and getting insurance on a sled is also cheap ($10/sled). Overall, considering this was my first trip in the mountains on a sled, I don't think I could of chosen a better place to start with.

We used this company after reading the positive reviews and we are so glad we did. From beginning to end these guys were the best. Kennie G handled our many phone calls professionally and patiently and when we got there he greeted us with a warm welcome and suited us for our snowmobiling adventure. You can rent an entire snow suit including gloves, boots, eye gear etc for about 20 dollars and it is highly recommended as it kept us warm and dry the entire time. We took the 2 hour trip in Snowbird but would do 3 hours next time. I was worried I'd get tired (51 years young :-) ) but there is plenty of stops to take pictures and enjoy the wondrous terrain out there. Garrett was our guide and he was an absolute blast - fun, relaxed, personable and clearly loves spending time with people. Can't come up with a single complaint about this trip so we gladly give it 2 thumbs up.Just a note for those with height anxieties, the trip up in the sky tram and ski lift is a bit of a challenge but given what awaits for you 8000 (?) feet up there makes it all worth it :-)

Stunning views, great snowmobiles, incredibly nice folks, excellent value. We did the joint 2-hour snowmobiling and 2-hour tubing package. We were picked up at the St. Regis (complimentary), taken on a beautiful and non-rushed ride by a very pleasant guide on a new snowmobile, shuttled to Soldier Hallow for tubing, and then picked up and shuttled back to the St. Regis (again, complimentary). Are you kidding me??? A wonderful experience all the way around.
