Shopping in Delaware is always a treat since it's a sales tax free state. I choose to do my shopping in Christiana mall since it's got all the mid-range and fast fashion shops I like. MAC, Sephora, H&M and Forever 21 are all near each other and tax free. I make it a mission to visit this place every time I'm on a road trip. It's clean and spacious with ample parking. However, if you're interested in higher end shops, this might not be the best place to do your shopping.

When i think of Christiana Mall, I think of the whole complex, not just the stores inside the Mall. There's a new Cinemark Movie Theater located by the new Cabela's store on the outer rim of the access road circling the Mall parking lot and it has a theater with the new XD technology (love it!). There is a "strip mall" addition at one end of the Mall that has several casual restaurants and a huge bookstore. A Costco is just off the road into the Mall parking. Inside the Mall, there are lots of familiar stores and a few that are unique to this Mall. There's a walk up gelato stand that has delicious gelato in many flavors and they are always happy to let you sample before buying. One of the biggest draws to shoppers from surrounding states is that everything is tax-free, so if you'e buying a high dollar item, it can be worth it to head here to buy. Every time I've gone there I've been pleased with its cleanliness and its security. One of the problems is the congestion at the Mall, especially during non-work hours and close to the holidays. if you want to shop here, think about going when a lot of people are at work. Check out ways to exit the Mall that doesn't lead you immediately to an I-95 ramp and think about taking a back road heading home, at least until you're away from the immediate environs of the Mall if you have to go there when everyone else might be shopping there, too. if you're thinking of doing lots of Christmas shopping there, try to go at least a week before Christmas. Take your patience with you! One of the other problems is that the exits from the Mall and the roads spiraling out from it aren't very well marked and are a bit counter intuitive. I suggest studying a map beforehand that shows the stores on the periphery as well as the names of the roads and make notes about turning left or right and which lane to be in for the different turns. GPS instructions are great but they don't seem to have all the details you need for a relatively painless exit. As I'm sure you've gathered by now, it's a lot easier to get in here than it is to get out!

The weather was 9 degrees with a wind chill factor of -7. I need snow boots. I looked in Cabela's, no snow boots for women! I found some in the mall & gloves as well. Ready for the Boston weather now!

I grew up in the Newark area back in the 70's. I remember when Christiana Mall was built. I spent many a teen night there just walking around...and around. I haven't been there for probably 5 yeas or more. Big time changes. It seems to have almost doubled in size. Lots of restaurant choices other than the food court. Tons of storms including H&M, Rue 21, and Apple. There is even a huge Cabela's now at one end of the parking lot. Security was visible which was good. You will definitely find whatever you are looking for there. It's no your momma's mall anymore.

I believe the mall provides you with an opportunity to buy large ticket items at competitive prices and save a few more bucks. For instance, electronics or home appliances. There is an Apple store inside, so if you need to purchase more than one item, it may make a good difference, or, at least, you may treat yourself to a "free' dinner with what you may save.

This mall is great if you are buying large ticket items because it is tax free. It is the only apple store I will shop at. They also have a good amount of nice restaurants in the mall area.

Living in NC with 7% sales tax made this mall so appealing. Great places to eat inside and outside the mall. It had every store I desired. The contruction at the mall made navigating a little challenging but the bargins were well worth it.

We visited the mall while on vacation. There were a lot of stores, but nothing to write home about. We found a lot of deals and enjoyed the layout of the mall.

it is a great place for hangout, shopping, entertainment etc. The weekends are busy and energetic. You can find everything in the mall.

Stopped mainly for exercise after a long drive. We shop a lot of Macy's stores and this one is an A store. Decent Petite area for my wife. Largest men's shoe dept I've seen at a Macy's. Nordstrom's also an A store. Mall has Apple and Microsoft stores. JC Penney and Target, Barnes & Noble--did not visit. Would stop here again on the way through the area.
