The biggest attraction of this place for us was the local, fresh produce, meat, and other products. We stopped here to get as much as we could that was local and unprocessed before going to the regular grocery store to get whatever we needed that wasn't available at Dawn's. We got corn right off the back of the truck that was delicious. We didn't finish all we bought until a couple of days later, but it still tasted fresh. Their cantaloupes, which I think were actually muskmelons, were sweet with a silky, firm texture. I was glad we got enough for the whole week. We also got tomatoes and sweet onions, which were both excellent. They have a small selection of meats, including goat, turkey, beef and pork. I'm guessing they have chicken available sometimes, too, and you can definitely get fresh, free-range eggs there. We couldn't resist the Amish bacon. Even though it's a thicker cut, and I usually prefer a thinner cut, it cooked up deliciously. If you have kids, you're going to want to take them with you because they have goats, chickens, and rabbits running around that they can feed. Definitely worth a visit or two.

Being able to visit and view all of the farm animals is the best part of Dawn's Market! Highly recommend stopping by Dawn's Market on you way down to the beach especially if you have young children. Reasonably priced ice cream. Produce stand with many fresh vegetables.

I happened upon this place looking for locally grown vegetables like a fruit and vegetable stand. It was wonderful - the yard was full of farm animals: pigs, ducks, chicken, goats, cows, all the basics, and all living in harmony on this small piece of land. I met Dawn and I presume her husband as I shopped the very fresh fruits and vegetables on display as well as a fine assortment of baked goods and candies form the dutch Amish in neraby PA. They were great, letting me sample certain things and very welcoming. My friedns loved it so much they went bakc for the special BBQ they served on Saturdays and Sundays - they said it was amazing (I'm a vegetarian so I didn't parttake in that but the farm vegetables were delicious)

Dawn's Market is a great place for fresh produce, just-laid eggs, spices, recipes and so much more. Open year-round but only weekends in the winter, this place is mandatory for vacationers to the Delaware shore (Rehobeth, Bethany, Lewes, etc.. Dawn and Wally Goff have created a a farm for rescued animals and spectacular market. Kids and adults love feeding and seeing goats, bunnies, turkeys, chickens, "Smithfield" the pig, and "Chompy" the gorgeous cow (really a bull). The roosters actually say "Cock-a-doodle-doo." A peacock roams around inside and outside the market. Our grandchildren were entranced by the baby animals and chicks they get to feed.. They play on the artistic wooden play equipment, including tractors. What's more, it's free for the joy of showing kids these natural treasures. Wally gives rides on his actual blue tractor, if you say please. They do rent the farm and , including Wally's rides, for birthday parties and other events. Dawn's market is a fabulous place for food,, fun, and great joy!!!

What a treat! The owners let you bring the kids for FREE to see their farm animals - which are so well cared for and beautiful, it was better than many zoos. Also, the owners are very friendly and willing to take the time to talk to you and tell you all about the animals. Dawn operates a quaint little farmers market where we bought fresh eggs and local honey. So worth it!

We started our visit with a BBQ lunch. The food was good and the owner's were friendly. We visited all the animals and there are plenty of animals to see close up! Our visit ended with buying some fresh peaches and ice cream. They have the best brown eggs, bacon and vegetables we've found anywhere around.

We had such a great day. We stopped at Dawn's Country Market just to look around. We were blown away. We walked around, found that they have local artist work on sale, fresh flowers, produce from local farmers, and baked goods from the Amish. Okay... so we got some BBQ which was the best I have ever eaten... we sat and ate while watching the goats play. The we got some feed and fed the chickens. We found out that cows like to be pet and gave him a scratch. We took home a bag full of fresh local veggies, some fresh eggs, fresh pie, a cool metal sculpture... and a belly full of BBQ. Can't wait to visit again. We highly recommend this place if you have kids, seniors, or just want to enjoy yourself at any age. They do have a playground for kids. The whole place was like a walk back in time to appreciate ALL the things we love. Local and fresh!!!

We stopped at Dawn's Country Market one day just to see what all they had on location. They have a sign out front that advertises the market, a BBQ stand, Lewes Dairy milk, helicopter rides & Jack's Dog House. I was most interested in the market & the animals beside the market. Once we pulled up & parked, we saw lots of chickens. We also saw baby bunnies, goats, a cow and pigs on location. So IF you are looking for a place to stop & stretch the legs---WITH kids--they will probably enjoy taking a peek at the farm animals. Also on location, there is the country market that sells flowers, produce, jarred james/jellies, honey, baked goods, milk, eggs & etc. The inside of the market was kind of dark. It seemed like they had some antique style items for sale in there too. The gentleman working at the market that day did greet us & talked to us a bit. He was really friendly. When we were there, the BBQ was not open & the helicopter rides were not open (both on location at Dawn's Country Market). It seems that these things are open more on the weekends. We were there on a weekday. The gentleman working there gave us some background info on the helicopter rides being offered by C.V.C. helicopter service & the pilots. He said they are planning on offering flights on the weekends. He gave us a coupon for 10% off that showed flights ranging from 5 minute rides to 1 hour tours.Jack's Dog House is also on location at Dawn's Country Market. It is just a small shed like building. They sell pet supplies, but since we don't have a dog---we didn't peek inside. However, it was OPEN while we were there.Overall, the market was OK. The day we were there, a lot of the stuff was closed. Also it was the beginning of the season, so the produce stand only had a few items. I plan on stopping back later in the season to check out the produce again when they might have more things to offer. I would recommend a stop IF you have small kids---as they will enjoy looking at the farm animals alone! Stopping at the market is FREE, but you will have to pay IF you want to ride the helicopter OR buy some produce, BBQ, pet supplies, etc. Besides, it is located right along the highway--so no long detour required for this pit stop!
