The Everett Theatre is best known as one of the locations used in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society, but it's also a charming center of live community theatre productions as well as first-run and classic movies. The theatre originally opened in 1922 as a movie and vaudeville house and still retains much of its vintage charm. The pipe organ has been replaced with a modern theatre organ that is used to accompany silent films. The Everett is located in the center of Middletown's historic main street and is well worth a visit.
