This is the 36th season for MLT. The theater is small and intimate. The productions are usually just one stage scene and presented in two acts. The cast are volunteers who are dedicated, talented, thespians who represent their characters well. The productions are presented well enough that my wife and I have become season ticket holders.

Community Theaters are a dime a dozen in the Greater Cincinnati Area and a lot of them are hit and miss. I think Middletown Lyric Theater is one of the few to provide a consistent level of quality performance. They have a good mix of old and new shows, and straight plays and musical reviews. It's definitely worth your time and money.

They have a wide variety of shows. Some of the peformances have been among the best community theater I've ever seen. Others have been a little too . . . unusual for me. But they're always well done, and it's a fairly comfortable theater.

I think the Middletown Lyric Theatre has done a great job of providing accessible, entertaining, and inspiring works for our community. They always have creative scenes and costume designs. They offer high-caliber performances at low costs, which anyone can afford.
