This is our second yr as members at TR. TR is under new ownership/management this yr and the place is shining.Cart paths on the back 9 are most helpful in directing golfer to their next Tee Box and the new Greens Keepers knows his stuff. They offer a Snack Shack between the 9's that makes the back 9 more enjoyable .TR's new bar has been a great addition to the after play experience with a Happy Hour and a new Chef in the kitchen . A friendly , young staff keeps TR hopping. Hope you'll come and discover this Gem of a golf experience in the Gem State for yourself.

A public golf course that used to be private? Love it. I think the Grille is owned by new membership and it wasn't bad before, but its a great place to go now after a round.

I was visiting the Jackson Hole area with some friends and wanted to play a little golf on our vacation. With the prices in the Jackson area being so high ($150 and more) and courses constantly booked, we found this course. We were actually staying right near the course, so it was very close. The price to play was very reasonable. It is a Hale Irwin designed course and very fun to play. The views of the valley and Teton Range while playing were well worth the price to play. It is a very challenging course, but you will definitely enjoy yourself. Even better is the course is under new ownership and they are making even better changes to the course before the season starts in May!

I was looking for a reasonably priced alternative to the Jackson, Wyoming very expensive ($160+) green fees for a round of golf. This is the place to play. Hale Irwin is an unheralded golf course designer. Play this course and you will appreciate his work. This course was built as part of a now failed country club/home development on the west side of the Tetons (Idaho). It is approximately 30 minutes by car over a beautiful mountain pass from downtown Jackson. The price is less than $35 and the golf is fantastic, if you appreciate moguls and fast, breaking greens. The course lacks trees and water (minimal), but it is very challenging, particularly if the wind blows. Sand traps are abundant, including fairway traps that come into play. I played shortly after Labor Day 2012 and had the course virtually to myself. One interesting Irwin design twist is that that he configured the holes to have them oriented in equal numbers to the four points of the compass. This means that, when the wind blows (as it tends to do frequently and with force in this part of Idaho and Wyoming), you will experience the effects on the wind in every possibe direction across, with, and against your ball flight.

This is the best golf bargain on the west side of the Tetons. Hale Irwin-designed, the greens are moguls that present fun but fair challenges.
