Looking down the gorge is overwhelming!!! We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed all the signs with information and was easy walking for us seniors.

I have been to Malad Gorge State Park once before and just seen what you drive over from the freeway. This time I went back further in the park and saw more of the gorge. Devils Washbowl is what you see under the bridge. There is a road that you can drive through the park with turn outs for parking your car and lookouts you can walk to just after the road. Here are a few pictures from what you can see.

Essentially just a walkway across the gorge it's still worth stopping for. Kids will love looking into Devil's Punchbowl and seeing the waterfalls that are present during the summer.

I heard the park has hot and heavy secluded make out areas but i dont see that when we go. My wife and I chose the trail just past the park with the bathrooms and just past where the creek goes under the road. Not another sole in the park in the middle of July. Once down the trail about 100 yards we both stripped down to our shoes and let the glorius sun shine on our nude bodies. We have done this numerous times as well as up in the northern part of the county at little city of rocks. great trail right up the canyon for hiking in the nude. not usually hard to find a cubby hole where you can throw out a blanket and throw back. we have passed clothed hikers before with nothing more then a snicker or two from them, most eyes are glued to my wifes gorgeous body and she doesnt mind, mostly everyone minds there own business. i heard the bathrooms are cruised by men but i have not seen evidence of this. great place to let loose and relax.

There was a $5 fee to enter Malad Gorge (however, some of the locals I am staying with in Twin Falls told me they thought it was free and was surprised I had to pay). The main attraction of this place is right underneath the freeway so it took away from the Devil's Washbowl. The other stops highlighted in the park's brochure were not anything spectacular. I definitely have enjoyed spending time at some of the other attractions in this part of Idaho that were free (Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Balanced Rock, etc).

Went here with some family (all adults) recently. There were 2\6 of us who where not really up to lots of physical activity at the moment, and we really enjoyed being able to walk out and just look at it and look around close to the parking lot (we parked near the bridge over the gorge). It was amazing. For the other 4/6 of us, they dropped us off then went back and enjoyed a short hike\walk, which they seemed enjoy. A couple of our family group had been there before and done significantly longer hikes, so I imagine there are different difficulty levels for different folks. There wasn't anything else there really, just the natural beauty, a bridge, and a couple of placards. Though, I think there are some bathrooms somewhere there, but I did not see them myself and am not sure on that. Note: They charged us $5 dollars/car to get in.This place was pretty cool to see.

We visited this state park in April with family (including 3 young children ages 3, 5, and 6) and had a wonderful time. The kids had to be cautioned about getting too close to the edges of the gorge, but they did well. On the flat prairie type area well away from the gorge was a sort of mini-canyon where the kids could climb and clamber on rocks to their hearts' content, though. The views of the gorge were absolutely amazing and we especially enjoyed watching the birds come and go from their nests in the walls of the gorge. We were pleased to find nice restrooms further away from the gorge, along with a sunny playground which the kids really enjoyed and a nice grassy area where they could run and play. A beautiful spot and one we will definitely visit again if we should be in south-central Idaho.

Great trails for hiking and beautiful views what more could you want. When faimily is in town this is always on our tour list.

We did the driving tour and stopped at each of the information spots. We also crossed the footbridge and did the hike to the end of the point between the two gorges. Fairly flat, maybe a mile each direction. It is across on the other side of the Devil's Washbowl. We have driven on I-84 many times and glad we stopped here.

The park itself seems average but the Devil's Washbowl overlook is something to see!

Saw the brown signs for this and thought it odd since the land seemed flat all round us. Followed a short road and walked to a bridge and there was this beautiful gorge. You followed the numbered stops which take you into the peace of the countryside, rippling creeks, prairise flowers and still ponds. All this and great views of the gorge, a really worthwhile diversion.
