My wife and I stopped at the Brick Arch Winery on our weekend get-a-way. The place is nicely decorated and the tasting room was set up nice. The gal that served our tastings was kind of quiet, but she did a very nice job. She had only been there two weeks so I am sure she is still learning. You get two free tastings or you can buy 6 more tastings for $5.00 per person. The wines were very nice and we enjoyed tasting them. You can purchase a bottle to drink there and just relax or even on certain days they have music to enjoy. There is an upstairs and that area is also a seating area. There are also some food items that can be ordered. We had the spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips. Very tasty! Just a note that if you do not want to drink a whole bottle the employees can cork and bag the wine so you can transport it legally.

By far the worst experience ever The town was sweet, but these people think they outshine Manhattan!

We had the day to visit the Hoover Presidential Library and were looking at what else was in West Branch,Iowa. The Brick Arch Winery was very nice and the people were extrememly nice. Their wine is good-more sweet than dry, but well done. The building is a renovated filling station and is worth the trip by itself.

Very friendly place, nice area for eating and listening to music. Right on Main St. and easy to find.

Very rude lady, middle aged, waited on us. Did not smile or appear interested in helping us with anything. We purchased 4 bottles of wine, our last purchase there. RUDE RUDE RUDE

I waited for a day to write this so you wouldn't think I was under the influence. The staff told us we could get a sandwich bring it back and enjoy a wine tasting and a glass of wine with lunch. Wow great wine in the middle of the country. Who knew? We will stop again. The wine was very good.

Just visited today. The wine selection is large and you are able to taste them all. The food choices looked to be very nice. There is music scheduled on some days/nights. The upstairs is very comfy and relaxing.

My boyfriend and I stopped at this winery last month and we loved it. It had very unique wines and a lovely atmosphere. They have live music and delicious food available. I highly recommend it!

I was going to visit my sister at University of Iowa and saw the sign for the Winery it was nothing like I expected it to be. Everyone in there is so very nice and helpful they helped me find the perfect wine for the day as well as I learned about some of the towns history. It a great place to meet up with friends to have a drink and just relax and they even have live bands at times. It is convinently located off the expressway and is a must do if your in the area.

Brick Arch Winery is unlike any winery I've visited. Instead of a single bar surrounded by stacks of boxes and displays, Brick Arch has a lot more class. It still has the main tasting bar in the main room when you walk in; however, beyond the doors lie three floors of seating, from cafe style table, to a library, to a "man cave" in the basement. Here, you're free to take your purchased bottle and enjoy, be it next to one of the fireplaces in the winter, or simply relaxing in an easy chair or rocker. The winery has marvelous oak floors and trim that add infinite amount of class. Plus, there's live music scheduled to take advantage of as well. Stop in for a quick tasting, or spend the afternoon enjoying some wonderful wine.

Loved this winery because of great atmosphere & of course...the wine!! Found this on a Wednesday just after they opened @ noon. Bonnie was fun to talk with as she opened bottles to taste & shared the history of the building. Only wish we would have been in town for the evening's "women who wine" event! Great idea for a cold winter's night!!

Last August I visited the Brick Arch Winery -- my second visit. What a lovely place to relax and have a wonderful glass of locally made wine. I am about to phone to see if they can help me with my Christmas gifts. The town provides a delightful turn-of the-century historical setting.

I was in town for my very best friend's wedding ceremony and reception from California. The inside is very well done with lots of art on the walls and gorgeous wood finishing. True to it's name, there is a brick arch inside made from an old building using a keystone from 1907. Being from a small town I thought that was awesome and very nostalgic. I am no super wine connoisseur, but I have lived in California for two years and been to plenty of wineries to say that their wine is very good. If I am able to I look forward to another visit the next time I am in the area.
