While my husband was fly fishing the Decorah area, I decided to try out Day Spring Spa. It was a very pleasant surprise!Environment: This is a small spa so there is no locker room where you change into a fluffy robe & special spa slippers. The treatment rooms were as nice as most of the rooms I have been in at various spas around the country. The bath/shower room used to remove the body wrap product was very nice. There was a wonderful body wash to use. Shampoo & conditioner was also provided, but I did not need to use them.Treatments: I had the revitalizing foot treatment which was wonderful. It would have been more comfortable for both me and the therapist (Stephanie) if they had a pedicure chair. However, the treatment was very nice. The soak had such a relaxing scent & the scrub used was wonderful. I also had a full body massage & a body wrap. The massage was one of the best, if not the best, I have ever had.A month earlier I had a cold that settled in my neck & shoulders. I had been a mess ever since. Stephanie was spectacular! She did this thing where it felt as if she was balancing my head by placing her thumb into the notch in the middle at the bottom of the skull. OMG. Did that ever hit the spot! The relief was not instantaneous but over the next 24 hours I continued to improve. She greatly relieved the tightness across my shoulders. I was so grateful I decided to visit!!Next season when we return to Decorah, I will definitely visit Day Spring again and request Stephanie.

Four of us from out of town had the spa renewal. We four have gone to a spa in a different city every year for the past 12 years, and with the exception of the spa at the Four Seasons in Hawaii, this has been our favorite. We left feeling like puddles.
