I have attended many QCSO performances over the past 10 years and have always been impressed by the high quality of the performances. Davenport residents are blessed to have a first rate symphony orchestra like the QCSO.

Music Lovers might not expect to find such a high caliber of musicians in Davenport, IA but they will with the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. The fact that the Symphony is celebrating it's 100th Anniversary is a testament to that when you consider so many symphony orchestras not only failed to thrive but folded over the years. The season began with legendary pianist Andre Watts performing Rachmaninoffs Piano Concerto #2 (granted he filled in for the scheduled artist who was ill but what an honor!) and will end with legendary Cellist YoYo Ma. If you are in the "Quad Cities" check out their webpage to see if the symphony if performing that weekend and GO.You won't be sorry! www.qcso.org

I have season tickets for the Quad City Symphony as it is a most enjoyable experience. The music selections are varied and the atmosphere is not stuffy. You can really dress up or go dressy casual. The orchestra is great and the Quad Cities is fortunate to have it. If you have a chance to see/hear even one performance, you won't be left wanting.
