I was here for my cousins wedding and I have to say it is amazing. I loved the venue, and the staff was very kind. I had asked if they knew about drinking ages and if it was legal in MN (I live in WI) to drink if your parent said you could, they kindly explained it was not legal there, it is 21 either way, and offered me something else. The room was amazing, and we were able to dance and talk easily. Only down side is the "two way mirror" from the mens room, you're not SUPPOSED to be able to see into it, but you can. kinda weird. otherwise amazing if you want to consider a wedding here.

I was recently at the Refuge Golf Course Club House for a wedding. The club house is nice and appealing, with wood beams and trusses running throughout. The room stretches into a lazy dog-leg shape with large windows looking out the most of the length. At the end there is a tall rock fireplace on a hardwood floor that served as the dance floor. The wait staff was nice and professional and could efficiently convert the room from ceremony to dinner to dance. My only one complaint, and it is a HUGE gripe, is that there is a pane of supposedly two-way mirror above the men’s urinals that looks out into the club house that IS SEE THROUGH!! There is a slight mirror effect when looking into the men’s restroom but you can still tell whom is doing there business there. Nobody wants to see your spouse or relative relieving themselves while grabbing a desert. I would definitely suggest changing this if the Refuge Golf Course is planning on hosting more events out there. This fact alone is why I would give it a 2-star rating.

This course is laid out in a nature preserve and on every hole you get beautiful scenery and quite a test of your golf game. The greens here rolled perfect although a little slow. The fairways were well kept and unlike a lot of public courses, you could actually distinguish the fairway from the rough. The marker yardages were spot on.I think I used every club in my bag. I'm a 13. The course plays to a high slope and I think it's because each hole presents new challenges. You'll never get board playing here. Worth the trip.
