Cost is two dollars to ride and the grandchildren had fun, is part of lark toys looks like it would be a very busy place in the summer.

My 1 1/2 year old twin daughters had the look of pure joy as we rode this beautiful carousel at LARK toys recently. My mom and I were able to ride with them (a necessity at this age, where holding on to anything is optional) and we had just as much fun with the kids (I paid $2 each for the adults, and the kids got to ride free). This is unlike any other carousel I've ever seen. Forget fancy-painted horses. Instead, there are things like goldfish, giraffe, and flamingo. There are a few creatures that don't move, if you need to ride with someone with less mobility. Being indoors means you can enjoy the carousel even on rainy or snowy days.We arrived first thing in the morning and though there were no other customers looking to ride the carousel, we still got to ride -- having the place to ourselves was an extra treat. If you're driving along the Mississippi with kids, this is a definite MUST STOP attraction. We even drove out of our way, and it was worth it. Beautiful!

The design of the animals, the music, and the friendly staff. My children loved it! My favorite ones are the dragon, the giraffe, and the fish.

I've been to the Lark Carousel several times with my kids. They love the carousel ride, not to mention the ice cream booth very near to it. The toy/book store is a joy to walk through as well!

LARK Toys ... Awesome woodwork and vintage toys can bee seen. Many of the toys, and some woodwork, for sale as well. A minature golf course outside too. A great polace to stop and enjoy some ice cream and have fun. The carosel works and you can even enjoy a ride.

This is an amazing place, don't think of it as stopping at a Toy store with a carousel, but a destination for a half day. The carousel is unique in the world with hand carved animals like swam, flamingo, ostrich etc that you don't normally see. It is about 8 stores within a building they give you a map for as well as a mini museum of toys of olden days that will amuse the adults or grandparents while the littler ones are trying on funny hats or playing games. And there is ice cream and candy to. Definitely worth a stop and plan on more than an hour.

Take the Grandkids and have a fun time with mini-golf and a carousel ride. Step out onto a porch area and visit with the llamas and maybe one will kiss you lightly on the cheek or whisper gently in your ear. Then visit the shops for unique gifts and don't forget the bookstore.

My kids always love riding the hand carved animals and never tire of the imagination of the carvers.

great place to take children, any kind of toy imaginable and have a putting range and lamas in the summer, make fudge there, ice cream cones and have a great carousel which was made right there and it is absolutely beautiful

I guess I expected more. Not a big shopping area or to get something to drink. The carousel is beautiful but the place did not live up to my expectations.

This is a one of a kind restored old fashioned Carousel!! It is the only one left that is still running and that is made out of wood and handcarved. It is really amazing to see. Well worth the $2.00 to ride it.

Very nice and worth the stop. Great picture taking. The animals are wood carved with so much attention to detail.

This is the most georgeous carousel you'll ever see. Adults and kids can ride cheaply. See them carving in the back....kids toy store is a draw for not only kids, but adults...and retro toys are fun to see. Nice stop if you take a drive to the river or to see the fall tree colors. Must stop if you are closeby!

Definately a must see if you are in the area... A once in a lifetime experience... Old toys, home makes toys and some good snacks
