On our recent girls weekend, we spent a few hours in the casino. It wasn't as exciting as Vegas or even some of the casinos south of the cities. The tables were pretty quiet and none of us had any luck at the slots. Mostly, there were a lot of disinterested people shuffling around or waiting in lines.

The dinner special was perfect to share between two people! Friendly staff. Other than that, smokey unhealthy air.

Decided to give Grand Casino another shot today. Hadn't been here in over a year. Got 10 dollar free play which was nice. Sure didn't do many any good, I'm here to tell ya!! Played straight keno for about 1.5 hours in no smoking section (which didn't smell much like smoke at all thank you very much!!). Anyway, couldn't win a thing playing 10 cent keno!! Best combo I hit was one 3 out of 3!! No one around me was winning at keno either, and they had been playing for awhile (and putting much more into the machines then me). Decided to finally throw in the towel and head to the buffet after putting in about 80 bucks!! Buffet was very good and a nice price as well (Saturday brunch was only $11.99). Good service from lady bringing my drinks, and the food was pretty good. Had a long drive from the Twin Cities and did not expect to win much, but to lose that much on 10 cent keno tells me to pass this place by for any additional gaming!! Anyway, make sure you set a limit (like I did today), if you go. Good Luck!!

Have been to Grand Casino many times, And the truth is they always get it Right.From the valets to the front desk ,rooms and staff really great service. The food is very good and reasonably priced, Excellent Buffet.I know some folks Don't give it the best reviews, But i have never had a problem and it is always an enjoyable time.

Casino bars were very nice, and they had a live band on a Wednesday night. The slots were not nice. We could not play very long because they were so tight. No waitstaff on casino floor, went to willows high stakes to try and get a drink, waitress said "I'll get there when I can!" We waited over half hour.

I was here because I had to be for a convention. I have never really spent much time in a casino, so I was a bit excited to go. My impression is that the casino and experience is ok. It seems there are many senior citizens and quite a bit smoky. They have lots and lots of slot machines, so if you like those this may be a good place for you. I tried the buffet and I did think it was good. My hotel room was clean and pretty up-to-date. They offered $29 rooms which is a good deal. I'll come back if there is another convention I need to attend, but I wont likely go back on my own time. It's not really my thing.

enjoy everything. food excellent also the hotel very clean and updated. no problem to stay the extra day at discounted. will be back in a heartbeat. p.s. payout more so we can comeback

I was mailed a $29 room rate coupon only for Sun-thur stay. When I called to ask for a discounted room for a friday night stay, the casino host Rhonda put me on hold came back to the phone and said, "No problem, I will transfer you now." and proceeded to transfer to reservations. She totally ignored my 1st question and reservationist said all they could offer was the rate printed on my coupon. Rhonda, never answered my question. Needless to say, we went to Hinckley, but never stepped foot into that casino.

Are not so good. The hotel rooms are large and clean with comfortable mattresses. The food here is also good and reasonably priced. The staff is pleasant and personable. The not so good are the slot machine pay outs. However they do have a large variety of slot machines for you to loose your money at.BEWARE, they throw different denomination machines in with the penny machines and if you are not vigilant you could easily end up playing a larger denomination machine.

First time at the Hinckley Casino and we were not disappointed. Air quality was fresh (even though smoking is allowed), casino floor kept very clean...nicely laid out. Had a bar as well as free refreshment areas. Had a great time and will be back.Mary M.Hobart, IN

I normally stay away from casinos, but this is in the North Woods and I was surprised at the variety of slots available and the variety of restaurants. I set a firm limit on my gambling a a donation limit, but I had fun here. This was a week day night and probably was not a crazy as during a event or weekend.

We went to see our friend's band at the lounge it was nice. Good food shared by each of us. We were happy with that the bar wasn't that busy until later and the girls were not happy with the wait time for their drinks. I had water with lemon.

Pros - Great buffet. Good Entertainment venue. Cons - can be impossible at times to get into the buffet. Plan accordingly

Lots of slots and some table games but only blackjack, 3 card poker and 4 card poker. No craps, roulette or other poker games. Very, very, very smoky! Clothes and hair stink after just a couple hours on a busy weekend night.
