When we went we had a great time. We tasted at least 10 different wines and tried as much of the vinegars and olive oils that we wanted to. The tasting room is pretty small but the crowd that was there wasn't very big. We found the staff friendly and attentive. The two dogs that were there were a nice surprise. It was pretty late in the season and no other events were going on when we were there. I have seen a grape stomp advertised as well as ladies nights out. I think it would be worth checking out an event that is hosted outdoors in the gardens.

This is not a favorite winery of ours. went once and wont go back. staff not friendly, very small, not the best wines and it has a strange smell when you walk in. best part were the two dogs!

Went here to taste some wine with a group of friends half the group tried the wine but the other half just sat down and waited. The tasting room is small and it smelt kind of funny. The plus side to the place is the 2 friendly dogs that they have there. They are so sweet! It looks like a very pretty area but we went there in the winter so not the best time to be outside!

Went there with my husband. The only nice people were the lady gardener and the dog. The woman behind the bar in the tasting room was so rude and we had only just walked up. The bar is small, so only 3 groups of two can really stand there and enjoy the wine. You pay for your glass and then are given a list that everyone follows, no options, and one bag of crackers for the both of you. There is no bread at the olive oil bar and again. Its nice and beautiful but when the employees are so rude and unfriendly it takes away from all the beauty. We just tried the wine and left. Went over to the Buffalo Rock winery and it was totally different! Friendly ladies, lots of laughs, plenty of room. No one being a total crab and acting as if your presence is ruining their day. Would not go again, there are plenty of winery's to choose from in the area.

We've had a great experience every time we've been there. They have bent over backwards to make it a great time for us. The first time we used a TravelZoo coupon and brought a large group and they were so accommodating. Will go there again this year since thee is a great massive outdoor area(or move inside when weather doesn't cooperate.) And you can choose the amount you want to spend from wine tastings to individual glasses or bottles of wine.

Came to the winery based on a great livingsocial deal ($55 flight for 2 plus Abdullah chocolates plus a bottle to take home and 2 full glasses to enjoy) and had a wonderful time. It was a beautiful fall day and the landscaping was well manicured and people were picnicking and sitting at the umbrella'd tables. The tasting room is small and was a tad over-crowded when we first arrived but it calmed down later in the afternoon and we stepped up to the counter. The wines were good ( in the opinion of a relative newbie) with reds and whites which could be purchased at $7 a glass (for those saying it's overly expensive) or by the bottle for drink-in or take home ($17-$20 bottle). The wine flight was good (included in our online deal) and gave us a chance to select the take home bottle and the full glass to enjoy outside. Live music was on and made for a wonderful, romantic afternoon.

They offer great wines in a beautiful country setting . Beautiful flower gardens adorn the property. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a glass of wine and great music under the gazebo.

I thought all of the wines were good and I enjoyed tasting the olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The tasting room is cute and the outdoor seating spaces and gardens are well kept and pretty. It started pouring while we were there, but we remained dry under the pergola. I liked that they had olives and cheeses available for snacking.

we were there when there was a wedding going on ..it was also raining so they couldn't do the outdoor stuff..the bride and attendants were getting ready in the tasting room but the tasting room person still invited us in...again we had our passports so the tasting was free... As much as I'd like to like the wine ( as my mother-in-law lives in Delano) the truth is there are better wines produced in Minnesota ..but they have improved greatly since a few years ago..all their wines are highly drinkable which was not the case back then.They DO seam to have an older clientele that many of the other wineries we go to so maybe I'm just not old enough to appreciate their wine.

Couldn't ask for a better day in the Minnesota countryside then a visit to the delano winery. Woman owned and operated this is a wonderful MN small business! Love the wines, the Northwoods red is my favorite! The staff are always friendly and courteous, even if they are slammed! We have often come on days where large groups of groupon buyers have also decided to come, the treatment never wavered! Love these ladies! We visit a few times a year, last year my girlfriend and I brought our dads to the Father's Day event and everyone loved it! I highly recommend a visit!

In a word- the staff are horrible, one of the owners is ditzier than can be believed- (perhaps stupid is a better word?), male owner not honest and rude. There a lot of wineries out there, this is NOT one to take the time to visit- yuk!

We loved this winery, we went with a groupon and had a great time! They offer a lot activities and events and we can't wait to go in the winter for carriage rides. Such a sweet place. Did I mention great wine!?

Great wines! Tammy A. was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and she made the day very special. We bought 6 bottles and can't wait to enjoy them! Lovely grounds!

Thanks Erica....Woodland Hill Winery is arguably the best winery both in taste of wines and ambiance in MN. We have gone out there to take advantage of Groupon type of vouchers and now go back just for a great relaxed time.
