This is a nice paved trail through woods and neighborhoods. Moves from the Coon Rapids dam on the east and Elm Creek regional park to the west. Early morning bike rides will often have wildlife crossing the trail from deer, occational fox or wild turkeys. Always an enjoyable ride.

The Rush Creek Regional Trail give a straight shoot from Elm Creek Park Preserve in Maple Grove to the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. While the trail was once more secluded it has begun to become encroached upon by development in the area. Despite this the trail still provides a very nice view of nature and is perfect for an afternoon ride or stroll. Parking is available at both park preserves for free and on city streets/parks surrounding the trail. The trail is mostly flat and also has a turf trail that parallels it (note: the turf trail is poorly maintained).
