There plays are so professional and not to expensive for the quality of their entertainers or actors. Seats are comfortable also.

The Lyric Arts Main Street Stage presents a broad range of plays and concerts in a pleasant and intimate venue. The quality of the productions is well beyond that which might be expected of a community theatre. The direction, casting and sets are professional quality and the staff makes the whole experience come together.

We were in Minneapolis looking for a play to do something different. All the big players had no shows the weekend we were there. WE found Lyric Arts and took the chance. The show was amazing, everything is right in front of you and it is easy to follow and see the performers do even their subtle moves. I dont think there are to many bad seats in this location because it is so small and intimate.

We have been to Lyric Arts many times through out the years. They have always been quality plays and I have never been disappointed in the acting and stage sets. I have been to many other theaters and I would rate them right up there with any of them. I know that a lot of theaters have more money for better stage sets but I'm their for the quality of the play itself and the acting. I will continue to come to the Lyric Arts Main Street Stage as long as I live in MN.

There is not much atmosphere to this place but it is easy to get tickets which are very low price and if all productios are a good and hilarious as The Coplete Works of Shakespeare in an Hour and A Half, to sure beat a night watching TV.

Have been attending Lyric Arts productions since it's earliest of days! Quaint theatre setting and wonderful performances! Popcorn is the best!

We attended a Johnny Cash Tribute show at this wonderful local venue. Our seating was excellent and the acoustics were very good. The seats are comfortable and you are very close to the stage no matter what seats you purchase. Why pay "downtown" prices when you can go to the Lyric Arts?

In the last year, I've seen three different plays at Lyric Arts and thoroughly enjoyed them. The actors and musicians are very talented, and the direction tight and spot on. I really appreciate having Lyric Arts in "my backyard" -- no driving into the cities and having to deal with paid parking and traffic. :)

To get in the halloween spirit we went to see Young Frankenstein at Lyric Arts Theater and it was fabulous and funny and cleverly put together. Such a quirky play could never be pulled off, I thought but it was done with such grace and the actors were top notch! Wr will be buying season passes for other plays. Such top quality for a low price!

We went to see GodSpell just a few weeks ago and it was a fantastic performance. I was thoroughly impressed with the local talent - just as good or better than a few productions we saw at the Orpheum downtown last year. And the tickets are cheap! Making it an even better night out, there is not a bad seat in the entire theater.

If you someone who appreciates the arts such as the theater, you might want to add this place to your list of cool places to go on a weekend. Intimate feel about the place with a nice little wine bar. Which is nice when you're not really in the mood for a Pepsi. The play that I viewed was the"Laramie project", This is something anyone who has or knows some one who has been a victim of bullying or for that matter a hate crime. the cast really shows their abilities in this endeavor since it requires each cast member to portray several characters in the play. Try wrapping you mind around that task sometime. Plus this is a drama, not a light comedy or musical. If you want to get a feel for what this place puts into a performance, see what they do when it comes to a sensitive issue. I'd come back here again to see what else they can do. To the cast and crew of this current play, thanks for a great performance. And to anyone who may have heard of "the Laramie project" be warned. You might start feeling a number of emotions, like compassion, anger, guilt. Which sometimes ain't a bad thing either. Most times I'm talking a about a great place for a date night of a road trip. I thought it was time to touch on something more than a few of us have experienced. All the same in a nutshell, small on space, big on talent.

I saw the preview for Hairspray. This is the second play that I have seen at Lyric Arts, and I was surprised at how good the cast was. This show should be successful.

This theater is darling and has some great plays, there is a lot of local talent. Sometimes they have plays that are just for kids which are so much fun. The adult Musicals and plays are also great.
