If you're already in the Tilton/Laconia (NH) area, this hill is worth visiting, especially for a picnic. The park was designed in the 19th century and once had lots of paths and gas lamps along them. Today, it's a single, paved path to the top of the hill where an arch -- with no one buried under it -- overlooks downtown Tilton and Northfield, with magnificent views in all directions. (Some directions are more visible than others, depending on the season and how many trees are in the way.)The entry driveway is about a block and a half from downtown Tilton (across the bridge in the middle of town, nearest the Tilton Inn, and then turn left and follow the curve to the driveway up the hill), and open year 'round. No parking or entry fee, as this is a very small park. The view is worth your time, if you're already nearby. Bring the kids, a frisbee, your dog (on a leash), and a picnic lunch. Some seating available. No stairs, so it's fine for strollers and wheelchairs.

The Arch is only 1 mile from Tilton Inn, and easy trip. there are picnic tables and bbq grills, quiet setting with great views.

Nice place to visit especially during the nice weather when you can take a walk around the area. Not a true destination point but still nice to visit for a stretch or a stroll.
