Liberty Science Center has four floors with hundreds of hands-on exhibits in twelve galleries. Your General Admissions ticket includes free extras such as live science demonstrations, hands-on labs, and a variety of daily activities. Some of our favorite exhibits were Skyscraper, Lightning Show, Infinity Climber, Communication, and Beyond Rubik's Cube. We also saw an informative 3D movie at their IMAX Theater.

We took our goddaughters there early on sunday morning. It was great, no lines, we zipped through everything. It seems there is enough interactive things to do for kids of any age. If they had even more physical activities it would be even better. They must have gone through the touch tunnel ten times.

The liberty science center is a whole day of fun. The imax theater is awesome. The cafe food is terrible and expensive. Plus we got gifts from gift shop and when we got home 2 out of 4 gifts were broken in the box. I called and i basically got a too bad its not our fault. They acted like we broke them on way home. Otherwise its a great way to spend the day with the family. Just take your own food and stay away from gift shop! By the way if you have a family buy season pass, its same price as going for one day and season pass gets you in faster and you get all kinds of discounts.

I have visited the science center for years. My favorite is the IMAX theater. The exhibits within the center are at times age specific.

We go here once every couple months, generally on the first weekend of the month since it's free for BOA customers. Parking is $7. My 3 year old daughter loves it, and there's a lot of interactive exhibits for her to interact with. It constantly changes, and there's always something new for her to do there. They do a great job here, and I recommend it as a great place for kids and parents alike.

I'm a member and love that this museum has something for everyone. The "Rice Room" (as my kids call it) is for 2-5 year olds and has tactile exhibits (a huge bin of rice with measuring cups and bowls that the kids can play with), pulley systems with plastic balls that shoot up into the air, snakes and turtles inside glass cages, and even a small climbing structure that goes about 12 feet up. For older kids, there are standard exhibits and rotating exhibits that look awesome (my kids are younger so I don't frequent the older exhibits that much) and really provide a ton of info about science, technology, and related subjects. The museum is clearly getting kids to learn without the kids quite realizing it, on account of how much fun it is. Definitely check out the website for latest exhibits and also age appropriate exhibits for your kids. Major cons: it can get extremely crowded on weekends and weeks when schools are out. Also, the food is pricey and mostly fried/not healthy or that tasty. Hot dogs, chicken fingers, etc.

I went there once before, many years ago, and it was more enjoyable when I wasn't greeted by a metal detector at the door. The security guard justified it by saying that there are children there, but there are also children at other science centers I have been to, and none of them has a metal detector. (If a nut with a gun decides to shoot up the place, do you think this will stop him?) Then I had to wait on line for about 10 minutes just to submit my payment because it was so crowded. The exhibits aren't bad, but with so many people there, getting around was sometimes cumbersome. If you're going to go, be advised that it costs $7.00 to park, and you also have to factor in the cost of tolls on the NJ Turnpike.

What a variety of exhibits -- most of which involve the kids! From the Rubiks Cube to Guitars to NJ shoreline to their signature Walk in the Air -- so much fun. My daughter has made me promise to take her back there.

Nice place to hang around on a cold day. Most exhibits are activity based so keeps the kids occupied. The Imax show on penguin was great as well. Wonderful views of new York skyline from the science centre

Took our four year old grandson there on a rainy day--it was generally quite good--but the exhibits are varied and not all are suited to younger children and not all are suited to older children, which is actually good. There are many hands-on type exhibits, but less pure science than I had expected. There are a number of live performances throughout the day, with audience participation, so check the schedule. If you drive there, watch the directions carefully, especially as you exit the NJ Turnpike Extension. There is ample parking. The cafeteria is pretty good, with a variety of items, including many wholesome choices. The exhibits are on several floors, and it can take some time to get up and down on the elevators, so plan which ones you want to see before the kids tire. We didn't use the IMAX so I can't comment on that; therefore my rating might have been higher had we included that. Check ticket pricing carefully to make sure you include everything you actually want to do.

I cant remember how many times Ive visited LSC. As a child we had numerous field trips there and we loved it! So many things to do, touch tunnel, and the theatre! Isince I dont have any children I didnt really know what else to do and remembered they have movie theatre :D price is very reasonable, since I live at walking distance didnt have to worry about parking. I thought it was going to be empty since we went around 6-7pm but there was a good crown of people. I. Thinking of taking my nephew soon to see the exhibits. This place is good for families and at nighht time to go with friends or hubby and watch a good movie.

Wonderful free parking and cool building; they care about safety and have a security check at point of entry. Kids will love all the stuff to make you say "ick" - IMAX is fantastic.

This was our second time to the center. A lot of great attractions and information for kids. Unfortunately we visited on Jan 2nd and the place was PACKED. There were way too many people. I spent more of my time ensuring I knew where my kids were - rather than paying attention to the exhibits. I guess i'll go back there when the weather is nicer and the crowds are thinner.
