what a great surprise. At the last moment, my husband, son and I wanted to get away but not go too far. The pull up to the this hotel is impressive and we were greeted by a friendly staff. The room was comfortable and we found the modern decor very nice. Had a great day at the pool and would return here again in the future.

The Hamilton Park is a good hotel located very near several business campuses and three different universities. It is starting to show a slight bit of wear in the entrance and some of the carpeting/tiles need to be replaced but overall it is a very clean business hotel that seems to cater to parties, conferences and reunions. The beds were above average, the room service prompt and the food tended to run very good to at least acceptable. The bar tenders in the lounge were personable and friendly but the waitresses in the bar hardly even acknowledged our presence when the place was nearly empty. (Had to step up to the bar to get waited on, which after a long day of work is fairly irritating.) The front desk staff and the bellman (who also drives the shuttle here and there with the concierge) were absolutely outstanding. Very friendly and patient with all our questions. We didn't try the Sunday buffet but it did look great. Our rooms were cleaned efficiently and thoroughly everyday immediately after we left. We stayed four nights at this hotel and I would recommend it to any business traveler. The grounds surrounding the area are beautiful and full of a variety of birds, deer and assorted other wildlife. One note, the hallways as in most hotels, are noisy. If you can't sleep, call the desk. They can probably do something about it! And one more thing, the rate per night at the Hamilton is great for the area! But you do need a car unless you are hanging out locally.

My daughter decided that I should have a really special Mother's Day weekend so she booked a room at the Hamilton Park for Saturday night. How do I describe "terrific"? Well, let me try:From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were impressed. It was beautiful with its flowering garden beds and manicured lawns. The lobby was airy, spacious and elegant in an understated way. The front desk staff were so gracious and friendly and that I almost looked behind me to see if someone famous had come in but, no, they were talking to us.Our room, though clean and welcoming, was smaller than we'd hoped for. After a call to the front desk inquiring about the availability of a suite, we were offered a bigger room across the hall for the same price, which was under $100. Of course we accepted. The woman who had checked us in came up and personally showed us the new room. French doors opened onto a quasi-balcony where you could enjoy the magnificent view and get all the fresh air you could want. The room was beautifully appointed and the large bathroom was equipped with an overhead heat lamp, lots of towels and toiletries, and an offer of complimentary items, too.We went to the large and comfortable lounge, ordered a drink, and played 8-ball at one of the four pool tables. After swimming in the heated indoor pool we relaxed for a while in the hot tub and then used some of the equipment in the exercise room. An hour later we were in the restaurant dining on jumbo shrimp cocktail, warm bread, and cooked-to-perfection filet mignon served with asparagus. The price was no higher than other hotel restaurants I've experienced, but the quality of the food and its presentation were in a class of their own. We asked for dessert menu but were directed instead to the dessert table--a buffet of the most incredible delights. After chocolate mousse, creme puffs, and some fresh raspberries we headed back to our room and chose a newly-released movie to watch as we stretched out. The breeze coming through the French doors was delightful. We called room service and ordered some light fare and a bottle of wine. It arrived within 10 minutes. The staff member asked to come in, then set it up and opened the bottle of chardonnay for us.After a great night's sleep in our comfortable queen-size beds, and with express checkout in hand, we headed out for a terrific Mother's Day, part 2.But you know something... Mother's Day, Part 1 was hard to beat.

Pensa numa vista maravilhosa do Rio Hudson!
