Great for birdwatching. Quiet and easy to traverse. They have a naturalist on staff and beautiful visitor center. It's so quiet I wouldn't want to be there by myself.. We only saw two people the whole time.Walking by the river is not recommend. All we saw was washed up trash:(

This past week, we finally made it to Palmyra Cove Nature Park, and we really enjoyed our walk. One of the highlights of the trip was walking the River Trail, which is available only during low tide! It was just through dumb luck that we were there when the trail was available. My tip would be to check the tides before going to Palmyra Cove. In fact, they had a sheet with tide times on the information desk in the nature center.I can't think of another time when I have been able to walk, and for a mile and a half at that, along the actual beach of the Delaware River. It was interesting to see the various uprooted trees along the shoreline. Many fishermen were out enjoying the beautiful sunny day.On the way back, the River Trail was under water, so we took the Cove Trail back to the nature center. At the very end, we ran into a woman from our neighborhood. She had a huge camera and was photographing birds. She said she comes to Palmyra Cove every month and that there is so much to see. We saw a huge garter snake, a turkey, several interesting birds, two groundhogs and more during our time there.A great place for taking photos! And particularly since there is no entrance fee and the nature center has very nice bathrooms, this is a great place for families to come.

Great view of river, bridge and many varieties of wildlife. A number of well hidden GeoCaches, an many paths, besides the beach along the Delaware. Nature lovers will appreciate the Nature Center, a nice place to learn, see local art, and keep warm on cold days.

Over 250 acres along the Delaware River between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Eight miles of trails along the water or in the woods or wetlands. A variety of migratory and nesting birds, deer, turtles, wild turkeys, fox, and fishing in the river. Events, education and exploration. This is an area wonderful are in one of the most densely populated areas of the country.
