trailside nature & science center

This place is a great way to spend an hour or two just learning about area. They have a better the. Decent array of "artifacts " from the area. Located in the middle of watchung reservation, the place is a break from the cold day hike or hot day at the great play ground outside. I have been there a few times. They do a great rock and mineral exhibit, so check it out. If staying in the area, visiting family and/or friends....need something to do, that is free, check it out. The drive aloe is very scenic and you might find something else to do afterwards

We took our just 2 year old grandson to the Science Center last September and had a fun couple of hours exploring the center. Yesterday, out of the blue, our grandson asked us if we could go again to the place with "the cave." (They have a darkened area with night creatures and sounds.) Of course, we will take him back for another fun time.
