A very well organized and displayed history of Yogi Berra, both in and out of baseball, and the Yankees in general. There are many displays of memorabilia plus videos of Yogi in commercials and of the Yankees' World Series while he played. No pictures are allowed in the museum. Next door is Yogi Berra stadium where a minor league team plays.

Yogi Berra is a figure that easily transcends the sport of baseball. Long known for his malapropisms, people do not realize the breadth and depth of his storied baseball career and life. The exhibits and memorabilia tell the tale of his legendary career from his 10 World Series winning rings (a record!) to the plaques from the old Yankee Stadium's Monument Park. The auditorium is home to some interesting shows and guests so check the schedule and plan accordingly. The New Jersey Jackals play next store so make it worth your time and do both.

Baseball enthusiasts and sports lovers alike should visit the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center in Little Falls, New Jersey. Baseball is known as America’s pastime and this museum really exhibits that along with the start of Yogi Berra’s career and sees it through to his retirement. It is a lovely tribute to not only Yogi, but baseball in general. Berra is a resident of Montclair, NJ so it is fitting that this museum is located on the campus of Montclair State University. The museum sits above the Yogi Berra Stadium where you can catch a NJ Jackals baseball game during their season. Even before you step a foot inside the building you will see Yogi and his late wife Carmen’s handprints in the cement and a bronze statue of him. It’s a great photo op and there are so many more once you get inside. From the authentic Joe Di Maggio and Mickey Mantle plaques once a part of the famed Yankee Stadium wall to Berra’s World Series rings, the tiny museum really hits it out of the park. It is a learning center which offers year-round education and character-based programs. Berra’s commitment to the education of young people is exemplified in this sports education center through its diverse exhibits. It is a museum that is worth the visit. It only takes a couple of hours to really read through all of the displays and memorabilia so it might be a good idea to catch a baseball game on the day of your visit or even go over to Floyd Hall Arena on the campus for an open ice skating session. It is advised to call all the places for their hours of operation to really make it worth your while. Residents of Cliffside Park can visit their library for a free family pass to this museum! Much like its namesake, the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is small but jam-packed with content and quality items. You will be sorely missing out if you come to a New Jersey Jackals or Montclair State University game next door and haven't visited this museum. Don't miss the stadium themed multipurpose theater showing a Yankees in the World Series documentary. There is no entrance fee but a suggested donation of $10.00

We were in NJ and I googled things to do in the area and this museum was close by. It is really terrific for any baseball fan. There are interesting videos and some wonderful memorabilia displayed. The World Series rings were great to see.as were the old plaques from Monument Park (Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio). It is a real value at only $6.00 for the admission. It is open limited times-I believe noon to 5 PM, Wednesday to Sunday but check before going.Definitely worth the time to see.

Great little museum. A lot of Yankee history. Self guided tour, so kids need to know about Yogi before you go and things have to be explained. Would suggest having someone walking around to explain to kids details.

here's a fine, self-directed tribute to a true american icon...you can't say enough about the achievements of this simple, modest, hard-working man... and at the ballpark, be sure to order a Jackburger... when you come to this fork in the road, take it, as the man says

This is an unexpected fun place to visit in northern NJ. Lots of baseball history. A great tribute to a great baseball player and NY Yankee. Really a tribute to success and winning. Witness the TEN world series rings Yogi won!

lots to see, great memorabilia even if you are not a baseball fan. Movie is a must see. Great to connect with one of the games being played by the minor league team

The title pretty much explains it: this is a museum devoted to the life and career of Yogi Berra - baseball player, manager, unintentional philosopher. It's on the campus of Montclair State University - Yogi has lived in Montclair for decades. Yogi cooperated with the project, so it has a good collection of items from his life - photos, uniforms, awards, advertisements, championship rings, even a love letter he wrote while courting his wife. This is a treat for any baseball fan. I'm not a Yankee fan, but Yogi has reached a point where he transcends any particular team. The museum is part of the stadium complex used by the Jersey Jackals of the Can-AM league. Set things up right and you can visit and then go to a game.
