the new jersey naval museum

Here is a genuine submarine that you can tour in our own backyard! Whether you are a parent of children, a history buff or a Veteran you have to go and check out the museum and submarine!Hurricane Sandy did extensive damage to the museum part...but the submarine braved the hurricane! Go figure!Once inside, you are transformed into the past and you will see what it was like to live and work aboard and authentic WWII submarine. Children of all ages will love it. They take scout groups and birthday groups. It is great to have this living piece of history here for us to visit and honor. All I can add is....GO SEE IT!!

We took our kids here when they were young and they loved it especially the USS Link, a submarine from World War II. Great history lesson for everyone. The tour was cool and we saw how the sailors lived in tight close quarters. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Time to take the grandkids now.

This a local treasure ! Been there twice and loved it. The tour guides are very pleasant to talk to and are happy to answer your questions or have a discussion.

I went over 30 yearrs ago. Great American history, and young kids need to learn some home history, and the USS Ling has it.

I recently took my scouts there for a tour. When I called the man said that they would get a tour of the Ling, have pizza, and play games. The tour was great & the boys loved it! When the pizza arrived, the man asked me to pay for it. I thought it was included in the $15.00/person, it was never stated that it was extra. The games were good, but I had to come up with some of my own to pass the time. It is a great place, but clarify pricing before you commit.

The museum is small, but the main artifact the USS Ling is incredible. I can't believe I have lived in NJ my whole life and never been there until now. Like maritime topics? Like military history? Like WWII? You gotta go!
