the station: bernardsville

My friend and I needed a quick place to stop -- at the time we didn't know if it was for a quick drink or meal so we picked the Station having not been in many years. We opted to eat. Had the daily special soup of butternut squash and pear combination which was served at a good warm temperature and was excellent. Also we shared a marguerita pizza which was also quite tasty. The place did get noisy with a table full of kids nearby but we still had a pleasant visit. Recommend. Also server was attentive.

I recently went to the Station for Happy Hour. I hadn't been there in about 3 years and was blown away by the remodel. It's the perfect cozy downtown bar. The bartenders were attentive and the food was delicious. They have various specials throughout the week along with a great happy hour menu.I'm definitely going back! I would recommend the station to everyone who is looking for a small town bar with good vibes.

The good news: prices are reasonable and the service is good.The okay news: food is just okay.My burger was just okay. And it's touted as terrific. It wasn't.My friend's fish tacos were really good.
