mackey's orchards

Mackey's is just the best - still a family run orchard and Farmstand with wonderful heirloom apples, fresh cider and a nice little bakery. If you stop here you will comeback again and again. It's that good - a New Jersey gem. Thank you!!!!

We wanted to go apple picking and this was perfect. Very nice Farm stand/bakery/ice cream shop. They also have greenhouses for seasonal plants, and a play area for the kids. For apple picking you pay inside $2 per person for the hayride and then you pay by the size bag of apples you want to pick. We went with a small bag but ended up getting another one at the top of the hill because the boys were having a blast. They have a large orchard on top of the hill with a large variety of apples to choose from and trees that were easily reached by any age child. We passed other fruit trees on the hayride so they may do this for other fruit seasons also. It was a great afternoon adventure and the boys can't wait to go back next year.
