If you want the real deal -- this is it. I can't recommend this enough.Me and my friend are from Manhattan, NYC and we went to Jackson Hole for a week in this past summer. We had the hotel book a Horsebackriding + Fly Fishing excursion for us... and it WAS THE BEST PART of our crazy action packed trip. The excursion required us to drive to a desolate area where it was only us, the beautiful mountains, forrest and the animals to meet our awesome leaders, Pat and Ryan, two real legitimate cowboys who knew their stuff. Pat gave us a tutorial on how to ride a horse properly and Ryan was his cute side kick who would teach us to fish like pros. We then road off into the forest, up and down cliffs spotting incredible wildlife left and right (moose, cows, eagles, bears…). On horseback, we ran through streams, over hills, between trees, under branches and were totally free in every sense of the word. The air was pure, the sky was the clearest deep blue, the trees were still, the grass was tall, the streams sparkled and the cows were vocal as ever. We finally arrived at base camp, a flat area teemed with tee-pees, 2 wooden cabins accessorized in horns, a fancy outhouse and activities like axe throwing on a hanging tree stump, archery and anything else your imagination could think up in the great open air. Pat’s wife Jill put together a super yum lunch for us, broccoli salads, sammys and intensely delicious brownies/blondies. We had fruit and snacks and our choice of beverage. Once we finished eating, we saddled up again and down the mountain we went…we tied up our horses in a tree heavy area near the stream and walked down the dirt hill to the stream into the water. Within 10 minutes Ryan had us in the river fishing. After a few hours, we were back on the horses riding bak to our car. Pat and Ryan gave us great inside tips on things to do and sites to see and farms to go to - things not in your everyday Guide to Wyoming. We almost felt like locals. What an amazing day.

Fly fishing in the West has become a crowded sport, seems like it's almost impossible to find an uncrowded river if the fishing is decent. Not so with the Pinedale area and Sublette County. There's a choice of multiple streams, diverse scenery and rather incredible fishing, this happens in an uncrowded, quiet setting which is a fantastic added bonus. Ryhud is an amazing guide....knowledgable, energetic and always working to make sure your day is safe, rewarding, and memorable for everyone.Ive fished with him for years and always look forward to our days on the stream. Pinedale is a nice town with an amazing array of options for other activities, my wife really enjoys her time exploring and enjoying theenvirons as well....what can I say...I'll be back!!

I have always had horses and my family and myself has experienced a trip through the Wyoming mountains to a historical cabin built in the 1800's by mountian men and gold miners and is still used to accommodate hunters today. My family and I had a time we will always remember!! Thanks to Jill & Bill for taking care of us.

I would recommend Green River& Bridger Teton Outfitters to everyone. Jill was an excellent guide. I called last minute to arrange a half day trail ride late in September. Most companies were closed and wouldn't schedule a ride. Jill arranged a day for me and my family even though they were in the middle of hunting season. The ride was excellent. Most trail rides are just that, a routine ride on a trail. This wasn't like that. The scenery and views were beautiful. We couldn't have picked a better weekend with all the Aspen trees being bright yellow. My family enjoyed the trip very much and when we get back to Wyoming we will be calling Jill and team again.

For anyone looking to go horse back riding in the Mountains, please call Pat and Jill. Jill was amazing and we could not have been any happier with the ride up to basecamp. There are a lot of canned rides and this one was definitely not. A two hour ride up to basecamp with a little snack and some great conversation as well as views that you cant get from the road and then back to the trailhead. I will be heading back again and this time to do some hunting. Super nice people and very enjoyable ride. Phil Malkemes
