housed in a charmingly updated 1904 cottage, this small museum is well worth a visit. The 3 ladies who own it have actively collected dolls (many of which are vintage....from the early 1900s) and lovingly organized them into "time warps" in the various rooms (including the kitchen) of this vintage house. With hundreds of dolls having been donated through the years, the owner is SO knowledgeable..... offering up the when and where of any doll you might ask about.honestly, I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to visit a doll museum, but this one is so well organized and clean and served by its enthusiastic collectors that time seemed to evaporate and memories roll in.btw, because of the unique nature of their collection, I wouldn't take children under 8 inside.... many of these collectibles are irreplaceable and NONE should be handled. also, there is no admission charge, but we made a tax-deductible donation to aid in their costs of restoring many of the donated dolls. We were NOT pressured in the least to donate...... after seeing the fruits of all their work, we just wanted to.

This quaint little house just off the square in Granbury holds the best collection of ALL KINDS of dolls that I have seen. Many that we played with as children and many that are beautiful as show pieces! Great place to spent an hour or so and relive some great memories!

What a find! This is wonderful museum which is located just blocks from the historic square. It is amazing when you enter and see the expanse of this collection. There are more than 2000 dolls that will appeal to the child in everyone. One of my favorites was a dollhouse that dates back to the 1800's and even has real miniature pictures of the owners ancestors. Don't miss this stunning museum!
