Attended the 3rd annual Wines and Vines Festival at McPherson Winery this past weekend. What fun. There was a nice assortment of wineries participating in the event. There was a cooking contest and a micro-brew tasting. The event was held over 2 days, and while we only attended the first day, we had a marvelous time. A great way to spend an afternoon in Lubbock!

McPherson Cellars employee's know their stuff! We went in for a wine tasting and we so enjoyed ourselves! They went above and beyond letting us taste different wines. we ended up buying a case of their sangria, which is yummy! Thank you for a great time and educating us on various wine! Well worth a visit and a little tasting!

A little trip to McPhearson Cellars turned into a relaxing patio adventure. We started with a wine tasting and sampled a variety of wines and helped by a knowledgeable employee. He made us feel relaxed and asked questions relevant to our likes and dislikes. We visited on a Monday afternoon, which was quiet and had the place to ourselves. They have a "Happy Hour" around 4pm with 1/2 price glasses of wine. A super deal for sure. McPhearson in located in the old coka cola factory in downtown Lubbock and super venue for an afternoon outing on the patio or a party in the rent able space available. A relaxing time indeed.

The staff is knowledgable with all the aspects of the wine and facility. We were made to feel very welcome and were treated with respect. The tour was the right length, not long at all. For the price range of the wines, the quality is good. We did purchase a couple of bottles that we knew we could not purchase in the stores and the taste was worth. The remodel of the Coke-Cola bottling facility is impressive. Definitely worth a stop for an hour or so to learn and taste.

We stopped here for the wine tasting and tour. The tour is short and sweet. Interesting to see how they have put an old Coke bottling plant to use. The wine tasting is the main event. Five dollars a person for a tasting of five wines. The wine is very good. Four of the five we tried I would buy. I prefer red wine and theirs are very good. But I also enjoyed the whites and that surprised me. They also make an excellent sherry, but in limited quantities. You'll have to ask for it (it is not part of the tasting unfortunately).

Second visit after a year. Winery is in downtown Lubbock and setup for lots of people to visit. Staff was friendly. Wine is OK in the 80-85 range. It is number 3 for my tastes in the Lubbock area.

I have visited the winery multiple times. Not only have I been to enjoy the local music for 'Patio Night' on Thursdays, but I have gone to many events at McPherson's.Overall, the wine is fantastic, the events are fun (I've been to a wedding & birthday - both great), atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff is stellar. And no, 'stellar' is not an overstatement. For the tastings, tours (the building was once a Coca-Cola bottling plant!), and general customer service, I have yet to have a unsatisfactory experience. If you are looking for a great way to spend an afternoon/evening, McPherson's serves some of the best wine in West Texas...and you can count on me being there again on Thursday.

They' ve converted the old Coca Cola plant into a winery with a courtyard to enjoy some very good wines. A great place to plan an event or just stop in for some wine tasting.

Really enjoy these award winning wines and it's a great space for large parties and wedding receptions.

I am an educated wine drinker--some would say a wine snob. I decided to visit and give Texas wines a try while visiting TTU. The tasting room was pleasant and the servers were nice and friendly, but not especially knowledgeable about wine. For example, they served my a corked wine and argued with me at first about it--I told them to open a new bottle and it was obvious. I tasted through many of their wines--they were OK--I would give them scores of 80-85. I would consider buying some and they were much better than I remembered. Not as good as some other Lubbock wines. Overall--worth visiting and tasting the wines. Pleasant experience

I try to get here every time that I vilit Lubbock. McPherson wines are among the best of teh Texas wines. The renovated Coke bottling plant is a treat in it's self. I often give McPherson as gifts to good friends.

Think you know Lubbock? Think again. This winery along with the art museums and other great eateries are truly hidden gems in the heart of the city. It's near downtown in the newly developing art district. Lubbock should do more to develop downtown as a "must-see" destination. It's not far from the Tech campus, yet there's not enough redevelopment going on, so it was a delight to visit this great place.

This was our first visit to this winery and tasting room. It was a very enjoyable experience and we will visit again.
