calvary chapel

If you have been to a Calvary Chapel based on Chuck Smith's teachings, you will find the church familiar. Pastor Rick Coburn goes through the Bible verse by verse from cover to cover so you can hear the entire Christian message. I went to this church the day after I got saved. I have always embraced this church, Pastor Rick and my fellow church family. You really DO NOT feel like Calvary Chapel has their hand in your back pocket. I have never heard Rick ask for money. He has said that God likes a cheerful giver and if you don't feel like giving, don't. I do not remember any drives for building or works. There is information on groups in need out in the foyer. Not being pushed but just sitting there. The dress is all over the place. People come in Hawaiian shirts and shorts and suits & ties. If you are hurting, come here. It might help.
