When I went to have a shower, I was in there freezing my butt off, standing under the cold water! It was warm at first, so I but my shampoo in... then the water turned cold. So I just got out without finishing rinsing my hair. UGH! Otherwise the campground was very nice! I was in nature and the campsites were nice and big. WARNING TO PARENTS WITH LITTLE KIDS: If you are going to bring your little kids out at night, and you're there in the winter so all the leaves have fallen off the trees, don't. It is REALLY creepy out there at night. I was bringing my dog out to pee and I was like, "Hurry up and pee, Lola!!!!" Hee hee!

$42.00 a day for an RV site which is worth $30 tops. Whomever laid this out and put the sewer in some sites must have never owned an RV and had never been in another RV Park. Sewer connects are horizontal not vertical. Go figure!. Your $42 get you nothing. There are bathrooms ( find them), don't look for a laundry, don't look for a camp host for assistance, tell your visiting friends they will have to pay $5 each to visit you. You may have a picnic table but you may not! Some neighbors might share...You can rent a boat -- wakeboarding boat only $800 for 4 hours. They have more deals.

If you are coming to camp/spend the day on the lake/ or just for a day, I find that most love this Marina/Park. HOWEVER, when it comes to being a slip owner in this marina, the management of this staff is some of the poorest I have ever seen. My next step is to go above the day-to-day managment and see if I can get any progress made. If not, we will be no longer calling this Marina our home. If you want to know more details, feel free to ask.. and I will gladly fill you in on the MULTIPLE incidents I am referring too. If my next step brings on changes, I will surely let you know the positive too. However, at this time I would NOT recommened bringing any more of my friends over to this marina.

We enjoyed two peaceful nights of camping. The FHU sites are $50 a night which is a bit steep. Getting to this park is a bit crazy but follow your GPS and you'll find it without a problem. I was a bit disappointed that we didn't have a lake view from our site but very happy that we had lots of shade. There was a path to the lake just across the street, very close. We did not use the toilet facilities but they are close by and handy.

First I will say I love to camp and am in no way a sissy. we rented a "cabin " which was nice to have for the storage. It was a small empty shelter with a concrete floor. we were right at the beach which was the only highlight of the weekend. This is a family owned park and not maintained at all. the area we were in had over 1000 campers and one restroom. it was never clean no toilet paper or hot water. there was no outside lights anywhere.Pioson Ivy was everywhere. In a nutshell, we will no go back.

Me & my whole family went to camp there last week for Memorial Day Weekend & everything was great until it was time to go use the bathroom or shower, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, there was piles of trash in each stall, it smelled like someone died in there. The showers were dirty from top to bottom & they all included their own sets of spider webs!!! I called the office to get someone to clean because it was simply unsanitary & they seemed to have an attitude. It wasnt until several people called & complained at the same time that they decided to send 3 guys out to clean. Which first of all they did not look like they worked there, baggy pants, tattoos all over, & to top it off with a nasty attitude. They were arguing with me & several other people complaining & asking why it took them so long to finally clean it. Their excuse was "well you all are constantly using it & we cant clean it". Seriously?? Lame excuse. Keep in mind we all had been advised by the manager on duty at the time that the bathrooms are to be cleaned every 1 to 2 hours. That NEVER happened. I was there since Thursday & the bathroom looked the same on Saturday. If they raised the entrance price, the LEAST they could do is keep the bathrooms clean constantly.I had several other bad experiences with other people working there, one of them being the old white man driving a white truck checking how everyone is parked. He threatened to give me a $125 fine because I stopped to get something out my brother's truck. When I was informing him what I was trying to do, he kept yelling at me & making a big scene. Overall the scenery & the people around me were nice & friendly, but the employees were terrible & so was the customer service. Im highly disappointed & it will be a while until I return or refer someone to go there.

There's so much to do at Hidden Cove Park and Marina you'll probably have to make multiple visits unless you plan to stay and camp. You can launch your boat, rent cabins and pavilions, camp or park your RV. The park itself is massive. If you don't have a boat there's a company on site where you can rent boats and jet skis. I typically go for an afternoon or to use the trails. They have a nice rugged trail system that I like in the summer because part of it is shaded by trees. They've also opened a new restaurant with a pirate theme.I like to visit this park and Stewart Creek park so I bought an annual multi-park pass to save some $. After only a few visits it pays for itself. The park is part of The Colony but you have to leave the city limits to get to it so there's always some confusion about what city it's in. THIS IS NOT IN FRISCO, but it's very convenient if you live in The Colony, Frisco or Little Elm.
