The owner, Yang, was born and raised in Beijing, China and studied Chinese massage (what we call reflexology) for 5 full years before coming to America. Chinese massage is very different from what Americans think of as massage, but they've been at it over 3,000 years, so they have it figured out. Chinese massage is very precise and scientific and after more than a dozen massages there over the last 6 months, I have never suffered from muscle soreness afterward - unlike every American massage I've ever had.Yang and his cousin, Sunny, are very friendly, personable, warm people who are dedicated to helping people relax. They love their customers and although they apologize for not speaking English well, their English is far better than my Chinese! The shop is small, but you don't notice when you're face down on the massage chair and the Chinese music is playing softly in the background while they work your pressure points head to toe. Yang regularly offers seasonal multi-session package deals and gift cards for people on your list who are hard to buy for. Sometimes he even tosses a gift card to one of the local Chinese or Vietnamese restaurants into the deal. I have taken my husband, daughter & her boyfriend and have purchased gift cards for others - they all loved the experience and want to go again. Give yourself a real treat and go see Yang for an authentic Chinese massage - you may never want an American massage again!
