Spend a couple hours enjoying the past as you see all the antiques displayed with great care and organization.Something for everyone. The grounds are beautiful as you stroll from the barn to the little chapel

My husband and I met our son and his family in Lindale today. We had lunch and then we were looking for something to do so we could spend some time together before we each headed back home . We happened across the museum and decided it was the perfect outing. There were 5 adults and 3 small children, we took our time walking through the entire grounds. The children enjoyed seeing all the tractors and farm equipment, even the old barn. Worth the time to stop and check it out.

My husband and I visited on Valentine's Day 2014. We absolutely loved it! The grounds are beautiful, and include a large barn with antiques showing various aspects of daily life - cooking, medicine, music, farming, etc. There is a pond with ducks, a walking path and an old church in the woods. You can take a look at old tractors, farming equipment, tools, etc. Everything is clean and well maintained and the people who work there are really friendly. They even showed us how to solve the two puzzles they keep at the front desk - which seem impossible to solve. Everything is free except the duck food (25 cents per handful), but they do take donations. I highly recommend this place!!!

We drove by this on our way somewhere else and decided to stop and check it out. There are several buildings to go through, but the main museum building was the most enjoyable for us. (Of course it was about 38 degrees and drizzling outside, so that may have influenced us!) The main museum building houses tools and memorabilia from the past, grouped by subject--stable, doctor's office, kitchen, musical instruments, etc. We had a guide to answer our questions. We looked through two floors of the main museum and then checked out the other buildings. There is a huge amount of stuff out there, although it's not nearly as well organized as the main building. The chapel was picturesque and we were encouraged to ring the bell when we got there. I would recommend stopping and checking this out. I think school age children would really benefit from seeing how things were before the internet!

This museum focuses mainly on agriculture of this area. There are lots of displays of farm equipment, antique kitchen equipment, old musical instruments and general antiques. The grounds are nice with a large pond with ducks to feed (the kids loved it). It is worth a couple of hours if you are in the area.

This museum has an extensive collection of antique farm and home equipment. We really enjoyed the displays. Helpful volunteers are there to answer questions. Don't miss the quaint little chapel that is a short walk from the museum.

The tractors were nice, the water stagnant in the pond. In front of the place is a simulated graveyard with crosses depicting the gravesites of aborted babies! Very, very offensive. My wife was personally offended as a woman. These folks use this place as a front for their societal viewpoints. Avoid at all cost, unless you want to be offended.

Being raised on a farm, there were many implements that I not only recognized but I had actually used! Plows, cultivators, corn shellers, cream separators, saws, and hand tools just to name a few, all in immaculate condition. This place has the best collection of old and antique farm tractors, implements and tools I have ever seen in one location! Parrott Park has several interesting venues, a tractor collection, blacksmith shop, fully furnished school class room, kitchen including wood fired cook stove, chapel in the woods, and a beautiful pond where kids can feed the ducks. You can stroll the grounds at a leisurely pace or opt for a guided tour, displays are well signed and factual, This is a must see for anyone seeking a link to the past. Thank you Mr. Parrot for your generosity in preserving the past!

Went here in January. Its a different kind of place with a couple of museums. I found the place very informative and cool.I will go again. Like I mentioned in the title. Its a great place for getting some photo practice. I did find the guided tour a little boring, but then again I usually enjoy being by myself when I wonder through museums. It is free, but they do take donations.

Stopped by the Old Mill Pond Agricultural Museum (that's the real name.) It is an up and coming attaction for the Lindale area. Has a large mill building with many artifacts and well done exhibits including a model RR exhibit. Other buildings on the grounds have a large collection of farm implements and tractors. The grounds are a forest of tall pines and the walking paths around the pond are beautiful. You will forget you are just a couple of blocks from the bustling I-20, Walmart, Lowes and other retailers. Admission is free, but the park is only open Thursday-Saturday. Definitely worth a look.

We went to the museum last year and didn't have the camera, so we returned this year with the camera, I know there are others who would enjoy the old farm equipment, and memoribilia, like the stills, not still working, and if you get a chance, talk with Mr.Parrott and get his history of Lindale! He really lived it! Roy Bass

This place is so interesting. Mr. Parrott has collectedpioneer antiques probably his whole life and this museum is so wonderful. If you are lucky enough to be there on a day when they are dressed as pioneers it makes it all the more fun

One of the biggest wastes of time in my recent trip to Texas. Notice all of the positive reviews of this place are by locals--I'm guessing friends and family of this "attraction". Avoid at all costs!
