This course is a great design but unfortunately the owner and in particular the owner son has no personality and doesn't want people out on their course. You would think he would be nice to people when especially they pay him money to play it. Don't go and more importantly don't support these owners. Terrible customer service in all areas. Heard owners are new now but keeping the son to be superintendent. HUGE MISTAKE!

Fun layout. Don't like that you can't take carts on the parking lot. Water was empty at the driving range.

This golf course is a great course. Unfortunately, the owners son who is the greens keeper has no people skills and is rude to everyone. This course and community would be so much better with new owners. Great design and architect in Randy Russell.

We drove up from mid-week, from Fredericksburg to play Legends. The course was in great shape except for some spots on a few of the greens. The course has lots of bunkers which adds to the challenge. I liked that range balls are included in greens fees. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I played this course while vacationing in Kingsland. What great course. Also the guy who worked on Tuesday morning 06/26/2012. He was very welcoming and really made a round that i ended up playing as a single. I would reccomend this to everyone!!!!!!!! Great layout and some tough holes...Lots of bunkers and water...I lost a few out there

This is the best course in the area. Professionally designed (Tom Kite) and well-maintained. Would love to see a full restaurant/bar added...would bring in more local and visiting clientele. Membership fees are nominal, but, the amenities are not there...tennis, etc. This course could compete with any other if owners would stretch their minds to make it more than just a golf course...make it an experience!

I had played this course several years ago and thought it was a nice course. I later learned it had shut down for over a year and was recently opened back up when a new group of investors bought the course and subdivision. They new owners have a done a wonderful job of pouring over $1M into the course. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. i spoke to the groundskeeper and he informed me that the owner himself spends a considerable amount of time on the course mowing it himself and making sure the course is in good shape. Cost of a round of golf was $50. The course didnt seem to get much play either which is a shame as it is a very nice track that is open to the public. Lake LBJ is visible from several of the holes including the Par 3 11th which the lake comes into play. There a 4 or 5 sets of tee boxes, so the course is enjoyable for all levels of play. I believe the back set of tees plays to 7200 yards. if in the area of Kingsland, tx and are looking for a nice course at an affordable rate I would recomend this course.
