Ok but not much here. Due to the complete lack of business for 50 miles would be nice to sell water here. Not much scenery. Staff was helpful and had maps etc. Short walk to center from parking. this park in general is marginal as a Natl park

The visitor center was small but had all that's needed of a visitor center - helpful rangers, useful information on hikes, geology, animal and plants, a gift shop, and restrooms. The Pinery Nature Trail's (a short trail that leads to a former station of Butterfield Overland Mail Coach Route) trail head is right behind the visitor center.Overall very happy with it. Btw, watch out for a few thorny plants that extends over the parking lot walkway. I wasn't careful and had a fight with one of them (and lost), and ended with pricks to my face and a tear in my down jacket. =p

The visitor center is ok. I have been to 5 this year and many more over the last 10 years and it definitely ranks low. The staff was great, limited exhibits and almost no gift store. Needs some food too, nothing within 30 miles of here!!

The Visitor Center, unlike so many in the National Parks System, is right off the main road, but the views are spectacular, especially of the highest points in Texas, Guadalupe Peak and El Capitan, although there are also arduous hikes to both of them. A very pleasant center, with very helpful staff who are truly glad to see you and help.

This is an attractive visitor center with a variety of regional floraplanted near the path from the parking lot. The ranger was veryhelpful and knowledgeable--easily answering our questions.

A small Visitor Center with a short film and displays on parks plants and animals. Small gift shop with books, maps and assorted patchs/magnets/postcards, etc. Hikers can pay fee here or at trailhead.

The nicest thing about this National Park is its isolation. Because of its remote location this is a great place to visit. It is very peaceful and quiet during the off peak season. The Visitor Center is small, but very nice and clean. The Ranger on duty was friendly and helped us decide which trail to take based on the time we had to spend. It was a nice experience.

This park was nice with a good visitors center and maps. It is definitely one of the least developed National Parks I've been to which has kept it very wild and untouched. It is lovely with lots of hiking options from easy to very difficult. I imagine that things look similar to the way they did a few hundred years ago. Be prepared to get your car dirty as some of the roads are dirt and wear your hiking boots!

Clean and located to provide some excellent views of the peak. There are several short trails around the center that are excellent for small kids.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park has few roads so you need to see it on foot. We started at the visitor center to get an idea about the trails. If you are going to be hiking - you need to pay the entrance fee. It is a good idea to do this so they know you are in the park. Also sign up when you take any hikes so they will know if you don't return. This visitor center is small but nicely done and the rangers/volunteers were very helpful. Start here - get your bearings - and head out to see this park!

We went to the Pine Springs Visitor Center before we attempted to climb Guadalupe Peak. The Ranger was very helpful in answering our many questions, and later on in making sure that everyone came down from the mountain safely.

We stop there to get some information about activities in El Paso, Tx; Unfortunately they did not had the information that I was looking for. But the nice lady advised me that the frijole ranch museum was closed on that day(wednesday)After that we spend some time just watching the displays that they have in the visitor center.

Visitor center was really nice and clean, had a nice bookstore with postcards and the rangers were really nice. Nice views of the mountains from here as well. We didn't stay long as we were just passing through on the way to Carlsbad Caverns.....

Pine Springs is the main visitor center at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. It's located right off the highway, and was busy when we stopped in the afternoon. Several trails start from here, but we didn't have time to do any of them. The visitor center has restrooms with running water, information desk staffed by rangers, a tiny gift shop/book store, and a small museum (free) with wildlife exhibits and info. There's a great view of the mountains from the patio to the west of the visitor center.
