wibbers
This wasn't listed in any of the info or literature....even the "visitors" booklet that was in our motel room...and I don't know why, because it was beautiful, and we could have easily spent a whole day there. I don't know if they allow camping, but there is a big pavillion for family or whatever gatherings, an "earthen and rock" ampitheater, a beautiful river, and rocks trees etc. There is a cement bridge that is about 1 inch above the water...you feel like you are on the river when you cross it. It has hiking trails, and driving trails. Would be a wonderful place for both kids and adults! I don't know if they allow swimming either..I didn't see a do not swim sign, but no one was swimming either. But there weren't many people there that day. If you go to Colorado City, don't miss at least a drive thru of this park!
