Planning a trip to San Antonio in October and surprised to see that John Wayne's Alamo and movie set has been closed. Read that both the husband and wife that kept the site open have both passed away and now the family is not sure what to do with the site. I think both Hollywood and the State of Texas need to step up and save this wonderful place. Not for just me but for the millions of John Wayne and history fans. This area tells a story about Texas independence.

Went back here in 2013 to revisit and found it abandoned. Looks like it has been deserted for years.Should be removed from Tripadvisor

This was a family run movie set ever since the filming of the Alamo by John Wayne. Our family enjoyed meeting all the interesting people that would come by to see John Wayne's Alamo. We miss the experience and our dear Happy and Virginia. God Bless You All.

à part admirer la gourde et la dernière fourchette de Davy Crockett on n'y trouve hélas pas beaucoup d'informations détaillées sur l'histoire de ce fort dont il ne reste plus que la chapelle, transformée donc en musée.
