Nice place to relax and taste a few of your favorites for a very reasonable price. The people are nice. They do not rush you. It is a relaxed atmosphere and they host many special events. Check it out, it's fun.

we went to winery to give it a try. the woman who helped us was very nice and knowledgeable. i felt we did not get much of a taste considering they were charging $. all the wines were good though and reasonably priced.

Fun, lots of choices, very helpful, a nice wine tasting also. The selection of wines is great and the taste, fantastic! They also have fun events at the winery.

We visited the winery after we had attended the Renaissance Fair right on the property. The staff was great, she was very knowledgeable about the wines and she definitely made my first wine tasting a great experience that I can't wait to go again! The wine tasting was reasonably priced as well as the wine bottles after the tasting. It was a great experience!

We visited this winery over Mother's Day weekend on the way to my daughter's college graduation. All the girls in the family were having a day out on the way to Winchester Virginia which is in the heart of wine country. We were greeted nicely. There were 7 of us and we had not called ahead as we knew nothing about this winery. The gentleman working there was very friendly and treated us great while we were there. The family dogs were lovely and the wine was great. We especially like their wine they called "Party in a bottle" We bought 5 bottles total and upon leaving the hotel in Winchester one Sunday all of them were gone. We will be back. The only problem we had was that the map stated that a glass came with your tasting and when we asked about it, we were told they were short on glasses and couldn't have one. She did give me one for asking, but someone broke it in the hotel. We felt if the glasses no longer came with the tastings that the price should have been discounted to accommodate. Again, even with this we loved the place and will be going back.

Nice winery and very pleasant atmosphere! Jeff helped us with many tastings starting from whites to reds. Picnic tables on the back deck and friendly dog!

Lake Anna hosts the Va Ren Fare in May to June each year. Lake Anna Winery has some very nice wines. Take time to find out if there is a tasting and indulge yourself.

We were not planning on visiting this winery due to an oversight of it on the Virginia winery map but we were told of a deal which gave us a discount on 4 different tasting at 4 different wines, including this one. This winery has been around since before Virginia wine movement. We were happy to have visited, the staff was incredibly friendly and personable. You can visit and feel welcome whether you are a casual wine drinker or a wine aficionado. Beautiful winery with some great wines. We left with a bottle of their Barrel-aged Chardonnay.

Was here to support a rider as this was a pit stop for the century bike race. They were unprepared and our tasting took 30 minutes to complete. We enjoyed all the wines, but have received better service at other Virginia wineries.

My sister-in-law and I decided to give the winery an afternoon visit. The 2 ladies working were very friendly and informative...not only about the wine, but local information. We enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere in the tasting room, including looking at the cute gifts for purchase. A few people were just leaving when we arrived so we had the place to ourselves. Overall, worth the time to stop and taste. $5 for 10 wine tastings is a great deal.....we really enjoyed just relaxing for a few minutes and taking a few bottles home!

This place is dear to my heart since my husband proposed to me here. First time back. The wine is still good ($5 a glass -- can't beat that). But they need to work on their seating. Compared to other winery's this place needs to step it up. Plastic white chairs and tables (that were filthy) on the deck). Inside are long banquet tables with banquet chairs. Another side patio is right by the a/c so very noisy. They have added some newer picnic tables out in the vineyards but the wooden ones are all getting warped. Great wine though! Had the Lakeside Red and Table White.

The owner Eric gave my family and I a wonderful tour around the winery. He discussed the many methods he uses to make his wine, as well as a full history of the farm and vineyard. His wines include: cab franc, seyval blanc, chambourcin, merlot, 2 types of chardonnays (oaked and unoaked), and a number of dessert wines. Most of his wines are not as young as most Virginia wineries are and it shows! He has a number of sweet dessert wines that are high in residual sugar. In fact, he has one that is over 10% RS.The grounds are gorgeous and there is plenty of space inside of the winery. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend and visit!
