I love to go to Burnside Farm and take photos of the flowers in various seasons! In the spring the tulips will remind you of Holland - there are thousands! Many varieties I have never seen outside of this farm. In the summer the Sunflowers are tall and beautiful. Let's not forget the fall pumpkins and hay bales make a great place to take photos. You can buy the flowers and other products as well.

This farm is beautifully maintained and I was there during sunflower season. The rows of flowers were nicely cleared to be able to get through the hundreds, perhaps thousands, of sunflowers. The staff was very friendly and the occasional chair or bench made this a place that I could enjoy just hanging out for a while. There are picnic tables and I wish that I had been prepared with a picnic lunch, since I was disappointed to leave so soon. However, after spending some time choosing the perfect flowers to take home as a bouquet, I wasn't really sure what else to do. This was, of course, after I had taken many photographs. I have heard wonderful things about the Tulips in the spring and sincerely hope to get back there next year. One little note, take along something to put your flowers in to take home. They sell mason jars to put your flowers in, but to me, that seemed like a waste of money. So, be prepared with your own vase or cup.

My husband and I went to Burnside Farms and had a blast. They have a large field of tulips and daffodils in the spring. I recently heard of this farm and during the summer months (July-August) they have fields of all types of sunflowers blooming

This small farm doesn't look worth the trip from the road, but once you come in, it is fun. Beautiful array of tulips in the spring and I just went for sunflowers. I never knew there were so many varieties of sunflowers! Some are 5-6 feet tall. Flowers are cut your own, priced per stem. The staff cheerfully gives you instructions on how to cut when they give you your clippers. There are childproof clippers available too. Great place for pictures with the kids among the flowers. A few farm animals, goats, pigs, chickens. They even have small chalkboard signs you can use with your pictures.

When I first stepped out of my car I was a little disappointed, the place seemed tiny. But after meeting staff and being greeted warmly. I forgot about that and was enchanted at the amount of attention to detail that had gone into this little gem. The farm is immaculate and obviously loved. Little chairs are dotted amongst the flowers for rests or photo ops and the grounds stretch around a barn where there are some very friendly and obviously happy farm animals. I ended up staying here about 2.5 hours and was enchanted. A $3 fee to enter, well worth it.
