Rapunzel’s Coffee and Books is an eclectic arts venue, community space, coffee shop, and used bookstore supported by the Further Ado Foundation to host live music on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Open mic on 2nd Saturday draws accomplished performers to not-so-great wannabes and might even include a poet. Depending on how many performers are there for open mic, each is limited to 2 or 3 songs. Funky decor of unmatched sofas, tables, chairs, rugs, and many shelves of books. Good amp system with 360-degree mic.Serves coffee, eclectic teas, hard cider, beer and wine. Fun community institution. Wish it was closer to where I live. Modest fees at door, waived for performers.
