In an old inn from the 1800's. Have had lunch there twice since the new ownership took over. Had the bean cake with "plank" potatoes (like homemade chips) - which was delicious. The 2nd time had shrimp salad - it was the bigger shrimp and not the small salad shrimp on homemade croissant, I swear they must make their own mayonnaise. Also had a side of grilled vegetables. In both cases, the meal was $6 or $7. They also have a bakery - and make all their own desserts and breads. My #1 choice for Burgess/Heathsville. BTW - it's got a new name, and I'm not sure what it is.

Some of the food is great (like the shrimp and grits or potato planks) and other is mediocre (Like the burgers). Service pretty good

This was a great place for the festival that took place on April 21st. Great location and easy to find. Friendly people offering great buys from food, to home baked bread to bath and body lotions and soaps.

live music on the weekends- kind of pricey and not great for little kids- but fun spot with good food.
