Went in for a nice wine tasting. Everyone was very friendly and made the experience super fun and interesting. Beautiful location. Will be returning soon!

Inexpensive wines and tastings but very good for the money. No real facilities to sit and drink a glass of wine. Just a tasting room. You're in and out of the tastings in 10 minutes. Knowledgeable staff.

This is the best vineyard on the east coast. Wonderful tasting wines that will make your tastebuds sing! I don't even like wine, but this is more like ambrosia.

Stopped in for a quick wine tasting and bought a few bottles. Wished we'd had more time to sit and relax on the beautiful porch. Definitely worth the stop!

The Hague is a small operation. The grower, Stepnen Madey, mans the tasting room himself, Yes, he's got the terroir & the vines, but his Secret Weapon is winemaker Michael Shaps of Charlottesville. All of the selections were true to the varietals & the blends nicely balanced. Worth the look-see.

We went to this winery just after they finished hosting a big Mardi Gras party. Even though they must have been exhausted, the wine maker gave us his complete attention. His Cab. Franc and Meritage wines are first rate. They also have a nice selection of foods to eat with your wines.I am not sure what the tasting fee is as it was included with my state at the Inn at Montross.

We so enjoyed this winery. Open on Monday and that's a plus. The wine is so good. Nice surprise as we were just riding around. Will go back next time in the area.

The owner of this winery has put his love and attention in the wine and the entire process. It is the perfect place to have a quiet tasting, without the larger crowds that a winery with a tour attracts. The wine is exquisite.

We spent a weekend in Montross to do winery visits. We visited 4 wineries and this was the best - friendly and knowledgeable owner and great wine. We loved the 2011 Chardonel.

Of the many good wineries in the Northern Neck, this one stands out form the rest. The wines are uniformly great, and the pourer knows her stuff.

We are so glad we visited on the day we did. The owner happened to see us outside & gave us a tour of his little vineyard. He definitely takes great pride in what he is growing and loves showing off his hard work. His wines were wonderful & the visit was a nice surprise.

Beautiful little winery on the northern neck with an excellent selection. My wife and I bought several bottles and then had a glass out on their patio which was quite pretty. I highly recommend.

We've been pleasantly surprised recently at the improved quality of Virginia wines. The Hague has a number of very nice wines, served in a large, open tasting room. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and anxious to talk abut the winery and the wines. We visited on a weekday shortly after opening time, and were surprised to find another group already in the tasting room. Of the dozen Northern Neck wineries we have visited, this one is among our top 4.

Coming from California and enjoying the Central Coast wine region, we were unsure what to expect from Virginia wineries. After an afternoon wandering the country side and visiting several, we found we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. At The Hague, you get very nice wine poured by the actual owner. Very interesting facility in a converted barn. Good selection of meat and cheese for sale as well as knick-knacks. Nice tasting room with glass on two sides looking across country fields. All around nice experience.
