There are no bad wines here. Perfect place to sit by the fire with a glass of wine. Keene did an amazing tasting, resulting in some new wine club members. We have only been here in the cold..now want to return for Starry Nights!

The tasting we experienced was held in their ballroom. The landscaping of grounds would make for a great setting for a wedding. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Several good wines makes this winery worth the visit.

My husband, adult children, and I attended the New Year's Eve masquerade party at Veritas, essentially to celebrate my daughter's upcoming "big year" birthday since she would be traveling on the actual day. It was a quality experience, well worth the $140 per person ticket price. There was champagne flowing in the reception area before dinner, a fire in the huge stone fireplace, and butlered appetizers. The ballroom took the cake, though, beautifully appointed with filmy curtains, sparkling snowflakes, tinsel, and tables for ten around the large dance floor. The music was a jazz quartet followed by a very good DJ who rang us into the new year. Food was a five-course meal, delicious and reasonably-portioned, accompanied by Veritas wine for each course. There was a breakfast spread available at 12:15 am, creatively done. Reservations were easy to obtain, with a confirmation e-mail with the table assignment sent out well in advance of the party. I would return to this place again.

We have been members at Veritas for at least 3 years. We make the trek here several times a year. We grab lunch at Greenwood Grocer and then head here. We usually sit outside with a nice bottle of white, enjoy our lunch and let the kids run around. Wonderful setting and excellent wine. The staff, especially the tasting room manager, are the best!

This was our first trip to the area after a couple of trips to Napa. Veritas does a nice job with the tastings, however we paid extra for the cave tour and were a bit disappointed. When we've done these in the past, we were able to walk around and taste different wines from the barrels (unfiltered). On this tour we stood still for about 10 minutes and heard very basic information from a slightly knowledgeable employee. We went back upstairs and the tasting was nice, but the wines were overall unimpressive (we bought bottles from the other two wineries we visited, but not Veritas).

Charlottesville and its environs offer the oenophile endless diversion. Though Veritas won't feed you with their generously poured, and delicious tastings, fireplace cheese plate with a purchased bottle definitely round out a jolly pre-noel tasting. My second time. Lovely folks, pretty surroundings.

I loved Veritas for its Sauvignon Blanc and the beautiful view. The atmosphere is wonderful, and I enjoyed all the wines. Not the best value, but an absolutely wonderful experience. Must-see!

Stopped in here with my bae on a lovely sunday afternoon. The Sauvignon Blanc has absolutely fantastic notes and tasted simlly divine. The property is gorgeous and the ballroom makes you want to break out in song and dance. This is an essential stop if you are in the area!

I've been to almost every winery in Virginia and find myself always coming back here. Great selection of wines and the atmosphere is to die for. Indoor fireplace and leather couches. Friendly staff. Outside fireplace and pits, picnic tables, and all kinds of land. The views are Killer. Do not miss this place.

We visited Veritas on a sunny warm afternoon in early November for a wine tasting. They were not serving their highly touted Viognier... sold out! But, we ended up getting several nice glasses of chardonnay and sitting in the adirondack chairs on the lawn. It is an absolutely stunning property and worth spending time drinking in the views and wine.

When you take a left towards Charlottesville after leaving Staunton, you will find a great winery, Veritas, meaning Truth and the Harvard slogan. Afton Va is stunningly beautiful. This is a combo B & B and Winery and the wines are quite good. Tasting is $8 per person. Would love to stay there some day.

We arrived while a wedding party was taking photos! As we snuck past trying not to photobomb it was impossible not to appreciate the couple's taste in choosing the locale. A beautiful mountain setting. The tasting room mimicked my perfect dream of an alpine winter lodge. Gorgeous wood and cozy seats. There was a little bit of a wait but the staff acknowledged us and were really nice and made us feel very welcome. The wait was worth it! Generous pours for the tasting and we were allowed to keep the glass. The wine was quite complex and I purchased a few bottles. Overall a great way to pass a few hours on a vacation weekend!
