At this CT Winery I enjoy the Aurora a semi sweet white wine and Vespers which is a sweet wine. The wine maker enjoys talking about the wine making process. Today I purchased Aurora and Vespers, sometimes I buy Our Sweet Rose. In this area of CT there are a number of wineries so this is a nice day trip. The next trip I make will be in the warmer weather. Be sure to check if Jerram is open because they are not open every weekend in the colder weather. By the way CT Valley Winery is close by.

We visited this winery and found the wines to be about average, to our liking. It was a nice bar set up and the older gentleman was very informative.

A very nice winery on the CT wine trail. I usually visit Jeram a few times each year. The wine maker explains the various wines made during the tasting which is interesting. Each visit different wines are available for tasting. I purchased 3 bottles that I enjoyed tasting.

This is my second summer doing the wine trail but, my first time to New Hartford and Jerram yesterday. It was fantastic! The property and buildings were beautiful. My mother and I arrived at the same time as two other groups of two we were put with for a tasting. I loved that you got to choose which kind of glass you get (it's included in the tasting fee). The wines were delicious. There was a great variety of flavors, something for every pallet. The woman who did our tasting (I can't remember her name but, I think she was the daughter-in-law of the owner) was awesome. She was funny and knowledgeable. We had so much fun. In fact we had so much fun that one of the men in the group we were in for the tasting, bought a bottle of one of the desert wines they weren't tasting that day so we could all taste and let our experience last a little longer. The prices per bottle are incredibly reasonable too. Jerram is a must do on the wine trail!

The first thing we noticed about this winery was the overgrown plants along the drive to get back to the tasting room, that were in serious need of some trimming and landscaping improvement While your place doesn't necessarily have to be all top notch, sometimes when you see that little bit of neglect, it makes you wonder and certainly doesn't give a great first impression. I found it an odd place to some degree as well, as you feel you are in someone's back yard, as there is a house right next door. But anyway, we were able to taste 6 wines for $7, including the glass. However, we did not get to choose which 6 of the 11 they have. Personally, I like to pick which ones I want, especially as one that was not chosen for me was the red that by description sounded like the one I would like the most. Anyway, the wines were okay and reasonable priced, but we definitely were not wowwed by any of them, maybe because they did tend to be on the sweeter side, while we like the drier wines. In any case, we likely would not go back, as there was nothing in the presentation, taste, or demeanor that made us feel like we would need to.

After being turned away early from Connecticut Valley Wine we headed to Jerram in hopes of completing our day doing part of the wine tour. We pulled in at 4:46pm and the man on the front lawn seemed excited that we arrived. He even told us we still had a few minutes left to get in a tasting. When we entered inside we were again turned away. Again, nothing was stated about the winery ending tastings early in the passport. We got our passports stamped and left without knowing what another local winery had to offer. The only pleasant thing we experienced here was the nice man on the front lawn.

Spent the day on the Connecticut Wine Trial. We do like to taste wine, but we also interested in the wine making process. This small winery was not very impressive. Maybe it was wine host but we were disillusioned by him. Did not get a welcome feel when we walked into the tasting room, just handed us the menu and the price for the tastings. He never mentioned a tour of the winery and we were not impressed. We walked around the vineyard a bit, then let. Would not go back there again

After just leaving another winery that was lacking in charm, we were pleased to pull up to Jerram. There was a horse in a field and an outdoor patio with seating. We are red wine drinkers and unfortunately, we did not enjoy the red wines. We visited 3 wineries on this day and Jerram had the nicest glasses with their name etched in a small stemless glass.

Jerram is one of my favorite winererys. They have a great selection of red and whites both sweet a dry. The red Noreaster is one of my all time favorite wines. Mr. Jerram is not onlya great winemaker but also a great guy. My wia fan of red wine and he always gives her extra tastings of the whites. Bring a picnic lunch and buy a bottle and enjoy the beautiful property.

This was my first visit to Jerram working at getting the 2013 Passport book stamped with enough stamps to be entered for the Grand Prize of a trip to Spain. There is a fee for the tasting that included 6 wines and a souvenir glass to take home with you. I must say that the owner makes some very good white wines, as I actually liked them better then the reds, and I am not a white wine person. We arrived a little early on Sunday morning prior to them opening, however there were some nice chairs set up outside so we just sat and waited for the owner to open. The Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about wine, growing grapes in this region etc. We enjoyed chatting with him and will return again.

Jerram has a beautiful location and is a pleasant place to visit with friends and a picnic. The wines are good and the family who run the vineyard/winery are very friendly and make everyone feel welcome.

stopped in as part of the Litchfield Hills Winter wine trail. Had seven samples- all good size pours not measured as most others. If you wanted one not being sampled today he would give it to you, or if deciding at end what bottle(s) to buy he would pour you another glass. Small winery and he tries to grow all of his own grapes. Only buys when he has a bad growing season from his own grapes.

My wife and I have been to Jerram for tastings twice. The last time we showed up right around closing on a Friday evening. The owner of the vineyard still served us a tasting and shot the bull with us a for awhile, which we greatly appreciated considering they were about to close. We enjoyed the wines, and had a great time. We will be back!

We have been to manta CT wineries and my husband LOVED the wines at this one. The area is cute with a small indoor seating area (like for less than 10 people) and a small picnic area outdoors but all of the wines were excellent. Would definitely return to this winery in the future. It is also very close to ct valley winery if you wanted to hit 2 stops on the wine trail.
