My Husband and I were told about this museum by a wonderful lady who works in the Engineering Department at the school. As visitors to the area it was wonderful to have someone tell us some fun things to do with our afternoon. The Museum is free for most of the exhibits, but I have posted the prices below that I found on the website along with the hours. The University Museum is open to the public 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The Museum is closed on Monday and regular University holidays. Admission is free for the majority of the Museum, and parking is available behind the Museum. Special exhibitions are $5 for the general public, $4 for senior adults, and $3 for children (ages 6-17). Admission is always free for UM students, UM Museum Members, and children under the age of five. The public is invited to attend all exhibition openings and Brown Bag lecture series. It was a great way to spend an hour and a half and I noticed they had a small children's area too.
