powerhouse community arts center

The Powerhouse is a refurbished building now being used as home of Yoknapatawpha Arts, which promotes the Arts in the Oxford, Mississippi community. Many events and activities are held throughout the year, which are of interest to tourists and local folks alike. Community theater puts on plays here, artists [from kindergarten to established adults] display their works here, and arts and crafts sales are regularly scheduled - Christmas ornaments, toys, etc.
